C60 Trident Pro 600 featured on Hodinkee's "My Watch Story"

Just a heads up -- I just noticed a C60 Trident Pro 600 featured in this week's "My Watch Story" segment on Hodinkee: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/my-watch-story-november-18 Unlike on Worn & Wound, I feel like Christopher Ward doesn't get much coverage on Hodinkee. Though I enjoye...

Re: Buying a spare bracelet?

The QR and quick microadjust is worth it imo, super convenient. That said, i remember hearing rumors they were updating the bracelet? The new version would use screws instead of pins. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. If you decide to buy, wait until black friday, there should be a hefty site wide d...

Re: Buying a spare bracelet?

I appreciate everyone's input! I like the idea of getting the new bracelet not just as a spare, but perhaps as an "upgrade" with the QR feature. Even though I prefer keeping the watch on the bracelet, I can already think of several situations in the past where it would have been handy to q...

Buying a spare bracelet?

This is a two part question, but I'm hoping your experience can help inform my decision and knowledge. Here are my two questions: 1. How long do stainless steel watch bracelets generally last (assuming general daily wear, i.e., not necessarily "hard" wear like diving)? 2. Have you ever pur...

Yikes! That's a very disappointing response. Might be worth trying to escalate it to CW management. I personally don't think that it's in acceptable condition (especially as an LE). :(

Re: Using UV light to sanitize watch?

Thanks all! I appreciate the input. Also, just for clarification -- I am not intending on building a UV sanitizer. I just happened to have bought a PhoneSoap UV sanitizer and noticed that they suggested using it for other small objects like watches. I didn't even consider it until I read the recent ...

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

My C65 GMT was starting to run -20s per day recently (it's usually within -5 to -6s per day). I was thinking of sending it in, but then realized that servicing isn't available at the moment. Just out curiosity, I did a check to see if the watch was magnetized (using the Lepsi app), and to my surpri...

Using UV light to sanitize watch?

Quick question for the group -- has anyone used a UV sanitizer to disinfect their watch? I just got one that is meant for small devices (e.g., phone, keys, earphones, etc.), and was thinking of using it for my C65 GMT. Though I am a bit concerned about any potential damage that could occur with UV l...

Re: Bracelet spring bar tools - advice please

I bought a Horofix Spring Bar Tweezer from Esslinger for my C65 bracelet: https://www.esslinger.com/horofix-spring-bar-tweezers/ It has replaceable tips as well, and it looks like they offer a more ergonomic tip now as an option: https://www.esslinger.com/replacement-curved-ergonomic-forks-for-horof...

Re: C65 - which bracelet?

Just wanted to follow-up and report that double shouldered pins + tweezers = incredibly easy removal and attachment of the bracelet. In fact, once I replaced the spring bar, it went on the first time without any issues. Not sure why double shouldered springbars aren't the default in the bracelet. It...

^^^^^ got these. Heard good things about double shouldered pins. Same ones? BC096B6E-3665-47D0-9169-AC4CF99E6C7D.png I think so! I ordered mine from Esslinger: https://www.esslinger.com/watch-band-pin-1-80mm-regular-double-flanged-stainless-steel-spring-bars-package-of-10/ I measured the diameter o...

Re: C65 - which bracelet?

Thanks for the help guys. Paul, I have to agree wire your assessment about the old style bracelet befitting the C65’s vintage looks. I’ve taken the plunge and ordered one off the website. I love the watch on leather but it’s too hot and I just don’t think it suits NATO, so roll on the bracelet. I e...

Re: C65 - which bracelet?

It might be worth checking out the Horofix tweezers. I was looking into Bergeon 7825 tweezers a while back, but stumbled upon this post on another forum: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f6/bergeon-7825-vs-horofix-spring-bar-tweezers-4886449.html They run about $85 USD on Esslinger, so they are signifi...
