Re: watch strap question

I think the conclusion then is that it's better not to buy the CW "soft-touch" leather strap... seems like the it's much less durable than regular leather straps in terms of the top layer separating...

Re: watch strap question

Thanks Guy for this testing and everyone for your input. Based on the discussions of the thread, I emailed CW - and I got a reply that they will send a replacement strap over. Sounds like then that it's almost the nature of this strap to be wrinkly when straightened or lie flat - and now, I'm trying...

watch strap question

I'm quite impressed by my finally arrived C8 M2.04. Looks amazing in person. Very cockpit like. Not so hot about the strap. The band is pretty wrinkly when I straighten it and after wearing it just once, you can see the crease quite clearly, with the top layer seeming to separate a little. My other ...

C8 M2.04

Another Concorde taking flight!
I'm quite impressed by how wonderful this looks.
I had my doubts about the hour hand, but in person, it looks much nicer than the photos - and it just works. I'm a bit disappointed about the strap though - a bit wrinkly.

Re: C1 Grand Malvern Worldtimer on website

This looks so nice. I also have issue with the outdated Moscow timezone; the answer from CW that other older watches having this outdated info doesn't make sense...e.g. as far as I can tell the new Montblanc orbis has the correct info. I also wish it has that pusher mechanism that advances the time ...

Re: C8 Concorde - Born from dreams

Thanks! It’s my second CW. I have the bronze trident GMT - bought it during the Xmas sales. Love it love it love it and the patina it’s developing... and the blue dial against the bronze is just so tasteful ...thought I would cool it for a while but just couldn’t resist the opportunity for a ...

Re: C8 Concorde - Born from dreams

I agree that perhaps Bremont is more about a passenger's perspective and CW more about a pilot's perspective - with one emphasizing luxury and the other about speed/technology. Bremont is way overpriced and beyond my reach, but I have jumped in on the CW one - although not without hesitation. The ho...
