Re: Strap of the Day

New strap arrival from Vaer for my square Casio. Just delighted! The strap cost more than the watch but the rattly bracelet consigned the watch to the back of a dusty cupboard. I’m quite proud to be wearing it now  IMG_3909.jpeg IMG_3911.jpeg That’s a really, really good looking strap on t...

Re: I've been wearing quartz watches this year

After my 100 day experiment with wearing only my Dartmouth, I have reverted to quartz watches for most day-to-day wearing. I do break out my various mechanical watches for some evenings and occasional weekend wear but, during my working week, a quartz movement is just so much more practical. Keep we...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Wow, not posted in this thread for a while! IMG_2187.jpeg Seiko 7548 from 1980, recently returned from service. I’m really loving the movement in this old thing - mostly metal components, 5 jewels, totally rebuildable and it also has a small timing trimmer so its accuracy can be dialled in. Currentl...

Re: Just One Watch - Can I survive?

Thanks for the feedback, reaction and comments everyone. JAFO I will try to get some images of the two Dartmouths side by side once my original one is returned. The only real difference is in the colouring of the bezel insert markers - my second, standard one has tinted colour printing on all the ma...

Re: Just One Watch - Can I survive?

Day 100, time to reflect… IMG_2182.jpeg Above is the watch, along with some of the straps that I have worn most. I have rarely gone more than two or three days in a row on any single strap, sometimes changing straps/bracelet a couple of times a day. This watch just rocks all straps! Its looks, style...

Re: My CW collection - of 1 remaining piece

Nothing wrong with down sizing.
Nothing wrong with sticking with just one watch.
Just make sure it is a really, really decent one. Ah, yes, I see you have!
Keep well,

Re: CWL of the day

About to start some chores in the garden, hence the thick work-shirt on a rather chilly morning.
The Dartmouth will be more than up for it though. Day 84.
