I am a keen wrist spotter and have yet to see stranger, friend or otherwise wearing a CW.
I very much hope that this will change in 2019 as I see now through the forum and f/b how far and wide the membership spread is and our collective appreciation.

Re: Replacement Alligator for C5 Mk1?
I just picked up a 20/18 one of these for my recently aquired C9 Harrison as a bit of an experiment, I liked the quality of it and gave it a treatment with cherry blossom polish both light and dark tan then a neutral over them to stop the colour bleeding onto clothes, they do it black and in 18/16mm...

Re: Swapping a Quartz for an Automatic?
Hi,
It would present a lot of problems, as you would need to get a good movement, a dial and hands as none are interchangable on these watches from my knowledge of the movements.

Re: C9 new strap
The clasp is the original (and somewhat scuffed) CW butterfly, I took off the CW strap, I plan to buff the clasp up at some stage but for now, it's fine.

C9 new strap
So having got my C9 through the week I went off sailing on the bay of "E" for a new strap and got a real cracking deal on a SwissOlympic 20/18mm brown croco with Bader pins as well for the princely sum of £7.49 I did my usual with the dark / light and neutral shoe polish and here is the en...

Re: How is CW doing? A personal view.
^^^^^ Derek, I agree with your CW assessment. Quality is on a par with the best, punching well above price point, however there are some design elements that I for one do not feel are altogether comfortable at CW and I think that is because they are nowadays trying to appeal to a "fashion cons...

Re: How is CW doing? A personal view.
Well, I hadn't seen this thread till now, and it is very apt, as I have just landed here, and with three CW watches I feel as a lover of time pieces I am able to make some initial remarks. I bought an immaculate C60 old logo ceramic Trident sold originally in Sept 2016, a NN Blue C60 Pro December 20...

My latest addition , C9 Harrison
Well she arrived as promised by the seller, today around 2pm. I have only performed the very quickest of wipes and cleans adjusted the leather straps (and placed orders for four replacements from ebay, just for the heck of it!) and naturally, now, some pics to share. I have to admit I really love th...

Re: Date of production
I'm afraid there is no documented correlation between serial number and date of production. Pity you were not able to get the user manual or delivery letter... Aha!!! Well I never thought to check the manual I did get the letter but it has no date the manual however,,,, at the very very back June 2...

Date of production
Just curious to know if there is a way to work out by serial number roughly when a watch was created as my C9 Harrison has arrived (and will be photographed in due course to bore you all with) and I am just a little curious as it is secondhand, if I can tell the age,,,

Re: Christopher meets Jack
Not tried Woodford Reserve as so far, I am making my way through Makers Mark (Very much liked) Standard JD' and Gentleman Jack which I am loving, but my favourite brew remains Macallan and,, as I have just sized my Blue C60 I think another wee pic is in order http://i826.photobucket.com/albums/zz185...
