Re: I bought a Rolex above rrp

Fantastic watch and most likely my next purchase also. My purchase will be dependent on being from an AD though as I'm Scottish, and therefore too tight to pay over RRP. Respect to you for a great buy.

Re: New Omega Bond watch

If it's got a laser beam and a grapple hook built in then they can take my money. I'm afraid I'm out otherwise.

Re: Rolex: OP39 v Explorer1

The YM is certainly not the most popular of models but nonetheless it's the first one I've seen in a window. I think we're a couple of years away from being able to walk in and buy a watch of choice on the same day but I'm pretty sure that day will come.

Re: Rolex: OP39 v Explorer1

There are murmurings on the web that the Rolex "bubble" is showing signs of being burst. I'm currently in Guernsey and and Mappin and Webb here have a stainless steel (platinum bezel) yacht master 37 in the window. It's the first stainless steel sports watch I've seen since I've been paying attentio...

If the hands are also bronze, will they discolour too?

Sent an email to CW asking the question a couple of months ago but didn't get an answer...
The hands aren't bronze. Gold plated, allegedly.

I don't get on with the blue rubber I took with it. Stuck on this for a while.

I didn't even get a chanxe to mention the voucher in my wallet last year and Declan was already subtracting it from the cost. You won't have an issue.

You've not just strolled in off the street, Declan knows that you'll have a voucher in some shape or form.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

I've had a hankering for a Ventura for years and it won't go away. It doesn't help that the bracelet looks so fantastic. I'd probably even have a quartz! https://i.imgur.com/WSkU0Cj.jpg It’s certainly a very unique looking watch. I’m not sure I could go for the triangular case personally but I do a...

Re: Bristol GTG / CW Event - Chat with Co-Founders - Saturday 2nd November 2019

Was there any mention of a Black Friday discount this year? I suspect not as there is the £100 voucher, but they might run something in parallel for higher value watches..... There was no specific mention of a Black Friday discount. However, talking to a couple of forum members the general consensu...

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

. Wera left a big void and was clearly excellent at spinning plates. There's been a lot of mention of Wera on here. Wera's name was on the packaging as the sender when my watch came back from repair. I don't know if that means she's back or CW's DHL account just hasn't been updated since she left?

Re: repair info

Hello thanks for the comment. Sorry I don't follow this site often. CW said that the watch has been subject to some kind of severe fall or impact that caused it to stop working. It had not. I told them fine keep the watch I don't want to throw good money after bad. They then said they would fix it ...

Re: Car phone cradle

^^^^I can't stand using Google maps on Android auto but that might change one day. For now I'm much happier with the inbuilt sat nav. As for a phone holder, is blue tac not sufficient? Give Waze a go - same map detail (Google bought them) but much friendlier interface  Naaah, I quite likey...
