Re: Do I want an Omega?

I'm following this with interest as I've also been looking at Omega for a while now and keep flipping between which model I would prefer. It started off SMP grey face, then PO (happy with either size) but the AT's are so good looking! For me it'll be a decision based on budget at the time of finding...

Re: Fulfilling a Lifelong Ambition.......

Nice find! I think if you have the money and space and the MOT doesn't bring up anything nasty you should keep it to enjoy and find a new donor.

Even if you only keep it for a few months it sounds like you'll easily make a profit moving it on.

Re: Barton Elite Silicon

I'm sure there's another thread here about Barton straps but I have a couple of leather and canvas ones which are great. I also bought from Amazon as quicker and less hassle although slightly more expensive.

Would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed the pictures and post Dan, especially the back story on each watch! From personal experience, start a watch fund for your Omega and soon it will be in striking distance for purchase Thanks, thought a bit of back story might make it a bit more interesting to read! Already have some savings t...

The box is filling nicely, Dan. A good variety there, and an Omega such as you mention would be a good step up.
Thanks Steve. I think the next purchase will be a more luxury brand, eyes have been on Omega for a while but others do catch my eye, I blame this forum entirely!

SOTC - Danbailey007 - September 2019

As I've been a member nearly a year now I figured it was time to get one of these up. IMG_20190914_153618.jpg Starting top left and working along as that is the order I got them in - Avia - don't know too much about this watch, given to me when my grandad passed when I was only little. Never wear it...

Re: Can the forum format be changed?

I can see both sides of the argument, I like the idea of a like button for topics like the watch of the day as I'm not keen to clutter it up with replies but on the other hand I'm not overly fussed about if people like/dislike what I post. I don't use Facebook any more as I got bored of the mindless...

Are you talking about a single watch, or annual spend?

Either way, it depends on your circumstances.

What you can get away with, without feeling guilty, is probably the answer for most.
Agreed
