Re: Chat with Chris 2018 Questions

Adding onto the logo question, why is it at 9o’clock on the models like the C60 Trident Pro 600? I really do not mind the new logo. Liked the old one but it isn’t a deal breaker. What is hard to swallow is having the 12 o’clock position completely blank and logo at 9. Another con to that is that aro...

Re: How Accurate Can A Trident GMT Be?

I'd call that good. Temperature and positions can drastically affect your watch's performance so even if you got it to +/- 0 seconds per day today, it might change in a day/week/month etc. I have a Hamilton that's +4/day some weeks and -4/day some other weeks. Right now, we've got a heat wave going ...

Re: Alternatives to the CW C60 Trident Pro 600

Longines Hydronquest has to be the most obvious choice. Similar price with discounts available and two original designs in either 39 or 41mm. Unlike Steinhart, it's not a copy watch. +1 to the Longines. I'm currently deciding whether or not to go with CW Trident, Longines, or a homage watch.. maybe...

Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?

I live in Oregon. I rarely even see a mechanical piece. Most people wear no watch, an Apple watch, or a fashion watch. It's always refreshing to even see a Seiko 5 in the wild. I've had nice conversations with strangers because it is kind of a small world over here. I'm sure there's a lot I don't no...

Re: CW C60 43 or 38mm?

At 7", either are fine depending on what you like. Whenever I need to choose, I prefer my watches to wear smaller rather than larger. It just feels a little more "timeless" to me. Everyone has their preferences. If you like the 43mm, go for that too! There's no wrong choice at your wr...

Re: My new C60 Trident Pro 600

Any skilled watchmaker should be able to service your CW in the US if you find one you like. As for the other cons, if you're like me, you'll learn to love them. They remind you the watch you're wearing is very much alive. It needs that attention and care and it's a ritual now for me to set my autos...
