Re: CW Repair Workshop Closed due to Coronavirus

I wonder if they considered setting up a few of the Technicians to work from home ?

Appreciate that there would be some logistical problems - access to spares etc, but no need for complex tools like lathes etc ?

Dunno, feasible ?

Re: CW Repair Workshop Closed due to Coronavirus

More details just received: Sent 02Apr20 @ 15.15 To make sure we are following WHO guidelines of best practice in the current situation, our technical team are working on a rota basis to reduce the risk of infection, bringing down our repair capacity to approximately 15% . This reduction in hours av...

I'm sure that the 1.3 million struggling NHS staff will be absolutely over the moon that 10 of them will get a free watch they didn't really want at this time. Sorry CW, this is just a thinly veiled PR stunt.

Have to agree - sadly, but that sums it up !

Re: Christopher Ward Price for a Battery Replacement.

Thx for that info - I finally got a reply mid-pm and she said exactly the same thing ... are they looking for business by doing an inspection when just a battery change is requested ! I asked the very same question 10 days ago for my C70 - the response “Our battery replacements are roughly 20 pounds...

Re: Christopher Ward Price for a Battery Replacement.

I wouldn't bother sending your watch back for CW for a battery change. It's really easy to do this yourself if you have the right tools. I took my watch round the corner and found a watch guy in our local market - he changed the battery for £5 and it took him 2 minutes! Yep - my guy charges £7 - bu...

Christopher Ward Price for a Battery Replacement.

Last Tuesday I used their Web Query Form to request the price of a Battey Replacement for a C70. Today I get a response - BUT - they want me to send it in for evaluation for any repairs needed - when they then quote for their findings they will also provide the charge for a Battery Replacement ! Erm...

Anyone recall this unusual RAAF version of the C8 Flyer - and how much it was up for in the recent CWL Clearance Sale ?

Dont rely on the 'Order Summary' info in the 'Your Account' Page ! Especially if you paid with PayPal - it wont change !

An email notifying Dispatch will be the Trigger ....
