Re: Bremont- what’s the appeal?
Interesting take on brand views which I find a bit weird! Most of the brands mentioned have a diverse range of watches so to dismiss them all because of name seems a bit short sighted and limiting to me. If I like the look of a watch I'm not going to overlook it because of brand perception. That sai...

Re: Bremont tale
Thanks for all the comments, I'm chuffed to bits with the watch and wouldn't have been disappointed paying full price so the discount was a big bonus. I'm afraid I don't take much notice of lume as I rarely make use of it and I've only worn this for 2-3 days so far (I rotate often). However, just ga...

Bremont tale
Couple of weeks ago spotted a Bremont Airco Mach 1 white dial on the Mappin & Webb website with a lip-smacking 50% off. Not looking specifically but great looking watch so thought about it overnight and pulled the trigger next day. Confirmation email received, delivery expected in 7-10 days. All...

Re: I Know, I Know...(Logo Opinion)
I discovered the brand, and bought my first CW, with the new logo and position. I did this without seeing the criticism so wasn't influenced by it one way of the other. In other words i came to ghe brand with no preconception. My first thought when seeing older logos was that they looked old fashion...

Re: The Bargain Hunters Thread
Saw some nice Bulova watches today in TK Maxx Chichester including a Precisionist and 262Hz long hexagon that aren't showing on the website, all with at least 60% off. May be more in other stores...

Re: When people ask if their watches look too big.
Very informative. I guess the obvious question is whether watch makers use this to deliberately control how watches look in marketing material? And how often are people surprised by the look of a watch in the metal having seen it previously only in photos?

Re: Automatic help
On both my Omega and CW Trident, if you put your ear to the watch you can hear a high pitch clicking sound when fully wound, presumably some form of ratchet. The Omega takes about 45 turns to full, the CW 25.

Re: A Tale of two Citizens...
This was a great post and created enough interest for me to go a take a look at the latest incarnation of this watch. Last weekend I travelled to the local John Lewis who had it in stock. Here I found out that there was a blue dial version... which looked even better, to my eyes anyway. A quick glan...

Re: Pepsi Challenge
Funny that you keep insisting that you are the only one that recognizes the difference between AD actions and corporate actions (you're not by the way. The author of the article and myself both distinguish them quite clearly), and then you bring up Porsche and Ferrari as examples. You see, with Rol...
