Re: I Know, I Know...(Logo Opinion)

I discovered the brand, and bought my first CW, with the new logo and position. I did this without seeing the criticism so wasn't influenced by it one way of the other. In other words i came to ghe brand with no preconception. My first thought when seeing older logos was that they looked old fashion...

Re: The Bargain Hunters Thread

Saw some nice Bulova watches today in TK Maxx Chichester including a Precisionist and 262Hz long hexagon that aren't showing on the website, all with at least 60% off. May be more in other stores...

I rather like that. It’s also nice to see a manufacturer using contrasting hands against a white dial.
I do too!

Re: When people ask if their watches look too big.

Very informative. I guess the obvious question is whether watch makers use this to deliberately control how watches look in marketing material? And how often are people surprised by the look of a watch in the metal having seen it previously only in photos?

Re: Automatic help

On both my Omega and CW Trident, if you put your ear to the watch you can hear a high pitch clicking sound when fully wound, presumably some form of ratchet. The Omega takes about 45 turns to full, the CW 25.

Re: A Tale of two Citizens...

This was a great post and created enough interest for me to go a take a look at the latest incarnation of this watch. Last weekend I travelled to the local John Lewis who had it in stock. Here I found out that there was a blue dial version... which looked even better, to my eyes anyway. A quick glan...

Re: Pepsi Challenge

Funny that you keep insisting that you are the only one that recognizes the difference between AD actions and corporate actions (you're not by the way. The author of the article and myself both distinguish them quite clearly), and then you bring up Porsche and Ferrari as examples. You see, with Rol...

Re: Pepsi Challenge

When it comes to limited run supercars it often works the same way - if you bought one you’ll get first refusal for the next and so on. Isn’t all this just the normal operation of the market when supply or demand are restricted for whatever reason?

Re: Jaguar to sue Christopher Ward

Perhaps the focus should be on the possible outcome should the case go the whole distance in court and Jaguar win. It is my understanding that there are four possible remedies for a successful trademark infringement claim: 1. Injunction - rather pointless as this happened some time ago. 2. Order for...

In the preamble of the sales corner section it says 30 posts. I have 20 and can view and appear to be able to post too, at least it let's me open the reply box.
