Re: New CW Sealander Chronograph
I've only ever seen quartz chrono's with this 2-6-10 sub dial layout. Also far too thin for an off the shelf chrono movement.

Re: Just a place to put nice pictures you’ve taken
^^^ interesting, I wondered if it was Granada, the Alhambra. Earlier this week I booked a holiday to visit there later in the year, you’d recommend? Yes, very much so. It’s truly spectacular. You need to be aware that the general ticket for the Alhambra doesn’t seem to automatically include entry i...

Re: WristCheck - Stif's mobile watchbox app project - Now live on iOS and Android!
Thanks for the update Tim - did you set a new notification on the app? (I think you'd need to turn them off and on to ensure its registered with the new time - but it does sound like you did!). I wonder if it'll only work with a genuine time change (and maybe not with a location change?) It definit...

Re: Upgraded C1 Moonglow
I think this is very nice. The new stepped case design is a really smart modern design with what looks like a fairly thin mid-case section; combined with the box crystal and an overall height of 12.9mm it should wear very well. Lots more lume on just about every useful surface! I briefly had a white...

Re: CWL of the day
Looks like you've got my favourite rubber strap on it, too -- the one with the locking keeper? Yes, it’s a cheap eBay FKM ‘tyre tread’ rubber strap with curved ends and a locking keeper. A very nice and comfortable strap for about £12. I’m thinking about trying the orange version which I think will...

Re: New Omega Moonwatch - the "Daniel Craig" White Dial
Very, very nice and an excellent example of how to do a legible white dial. https://i.postimg.cc/5Nt8Bwzn/IMG-1475.avif Very pricey though. I paid £6k for a new hesalite on bracelet eight months ago and this is 25% more (albeit sapphire sandwich) and I’m sure they’ll be an Omega price rise along soo...

Re: Moonwatch pusher fallen off - update
I don't know how much has been released about the likely specifications of it but they expect it to have sapphire crystal on front and back, to be a readily available model (eventually?) and sell around the price level of the standard black dial version. I guess we'll know tomorrow. Interesting tha...

Re: Morgan Stanley and LuxeConsult publish Swiss watch industry’s top 50 companies for 2023
Average price is misleading when the volumes are skewed by one or two high volume & low cost brands. Out of a total of 15.9m units the Swatch brand (not Swatch Group as a whole) accounted for 5.8m and Tissot accounted for 3.1m. Those two alone are 56% of the volume and are typically selling watc...

Re: BumbleBeasts with broken wings. Incident Analysis, and attempt to find Root Cause.
A very basic question; are these three separate watches, or the same watch that's been sold sequentially to three unsuspecting punters without any remedial action...

Re: Consort-related request
In addition to the 'flimsiness' question you might also want to consider the fitting of the bracelet end links onto the case. The C63 is a 39mm case and the inside radius on the C63 bracelet end link is therefore 19.5mm; whereas the C60 is 40mm and its corresponding bracelet end link radius is 20mm;...

Re: Watches with a full set of Arabic numerals
I’ve currently got one, although technically it’s probably only 11.5 numerals https://i.postimg.cc/mDH4W7jk/IMG-5284.jpg I’ve previously owned others, including two that went up to 24! https://i.postimg.cc/8cWRTS8X/IMG-1473.jpg I could definitely see myself buying another Hamilton Khaki, which would...

Re: Small Seconds
I also increasingly like them and three of my four purchases last year have them, although that does include my Speedy. I think a small seconds hand can work well on tool watches where clarity and legibility is a primary design goal and moving a potentially distracting seconds hand away from the min...
