Re: Non CW of the Day

I vacillated over wait lists and deposits for the best part of a year but inevitably succumbed to temptation. Got an early phone call from the AD a couple of hours ago... :D

Re: Would you buy one of these as the next Forum Limited Edition?

My preferred design is #5 with text #4 (as illustrated in design #5).

I also feel that FLE branding should be on the exhibition caseback.

Will there be another confirmatory poll to determine these final(?) preferences?

Re: The new CWArchive

Just been looking at the Knack platform. Looks very interesting, with all sorts of interesting application templates. Is this new CW Archive a stand-alone application, and if so, who’s paying the monthly hosting fee, a minimum of $39 per month, CW? Being a suspicious sort of person I could see how t...

Re: The new CWArchive

Good job from all involved. It’s a nice clean design that on first impression looks easy to use and hopefully, also simple to maintain and update.

Re: C60 Trident Pro 600 Issues

I do know that Rolex regulate as part of the service. Admittedly way more expensive though. But surely CW must regulate as part of their service too? :-k To service a watch properly my understanding is the movement must be dismantled, cleaned, oiled and reassembled and any worn parts replaced. As s...

Re: Would you buy one of these as the next Forum Limited Edition?

I’ve taken the liberty to take this mornings excellent photoshop effort and merged them into a single image so I could have a long stare at them side-by-side: E382B697-BA32-45CA-8873-C486950A0400.jpeg Firstly, I like the black second hand in all of the three flavours presented. No really strong opin...

Re: FLE #8 - poll #2

^^ an all black second hand to match hour/min hands together with a ‘disappearing’ white stork to the GMT hand would look very nice in my opinion.

Presumptive, but could someone do a photoshop render of this please?

Re: Consolidating

So far in 2019: sold 6; bought 1, plus on AD list for another. The disposals were watches that I rarely wore, yet I felt guilty about owning them but not wearing them. I’ve not thought about any of them since selling so it was obviously the correct course of action. This has resulted in a much small...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Beautiful watch, Tim. I'm considering purchasing the Green 39.5mm Aquis on bracelet from Gnomon for US$1680. Do you think the premium over a Trident C60 is worth it? I'm not seriously contemplating the Trident because green is not an option, but given the movements are identical, I'm curious if the...

Re: Which Thread Lock for bracelet screws?

I’ve a Strapcode code bracelet and the screws appear to be secure. I’ve certainly not noticed any problems since I resized it.

My only experience of ‘treated’ screws is with my Tudor where the virgin screws are utter ba*#@&ds to unscrew for the first time without the exact correct screwdriver!

Re: Would you buy one of these as the next Forum Limited Edition?

My question now is...Is there enough interest in creating a non GMT model from the samples (1st post page 1) or mock ups created that are shown in my summary #3 listed as S1 - S5 (Page #24). Personally I’ve no intention of buying any more 3 hand dive watches, so that route would exclude me. I’m how...

Re: Would you buy one of these as the next Forum Limited Edition?

I’m still concerned about legibility of the lighter portion of the two tone bezel and would not be keen on ‘black lume’ used to alleviate this issue. The earlier renders with a uniform grey bezel with white numerals still looks the most elegant to my mind. Secondly, does it have to have the FLE text...
