Re: Where are the guitar players?

I’ve had a weakness for guitars since my teens. Most have long gone but these two are keepers. 14429EE1-6005-4B1D-8358-05D32409E405.jpeg American Standard Telecaster in Lake Placid Blue with maple fretboard. Tanglewood acoustic which was bought with the proceeds from selling three others... I’ve got...

Re: New Oris movement - 15/10

The spec’s look very impressive and its dimensions of 28mm diameter and 4.75mm depth make it a very compact movement, basically about the same as an ETA2824/SW200 but with twin barrels and a 5 day power reserve. I listened to an interview with the Oris NA CEO and he was positioning it for premium ev...

Re: Ever heard of Norqain (or Kenissi)?

I thought it worthwhile resurrecting this thread as there's been two rather interesting product announcements in the last few days, the Norqain Freedom GMT and the Fortis Flieger GMT . Both of these use a (the same?) Kenissi GMT movement. This is a 'true' GMT movement with a local jumping hour and w...

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

It’s been a very long time since I bought a Tag Heuer, in fact it was pre-Tag so I must be getting old. In recent years their Carrera chronograph models have been rather naff in my opinion; over large skeletonised zombie-thwackers aimed at yuppies. However, things are improving. The new Carrera chro...

Re: Its what we've all been waiting for . . . .. .

In this https://www.christopherwardforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=825904#p825904 Mike France very clearly stated that they’d be a C65 Chrono released in November. I can only assume that it’ll be in addition to this C60 release and hopefully being in a C65 case derivative will be of more modest dimensions?

... I'd recommend at least trying a Panerai out to settle your anguish one way or the other. I apologise in advance about flaunting it, I'll try not to do that so often. ... That's the crux of the problem. I've tried on a 44mm Luminor and it's a wonderful fit and feel, hence the anguish. My watch b...

Re: Thegreyman SOTC - September 2020

A fine collection. I’m not one for dress watches but I’ve continually been attracted to the Jazzmaster day date. It’s a very understated and elegant design; and I particularly like the symmetry of the day and date at 12 and 6. But I have a request, please stop posting pictures of your Luminor, it’s ...

Re: What would I like CW to Design next?

The other notable thing discussed by Mike France https://www.christopherwardforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=825904#p825904 was that they are investigating how to produce a GMT version of the SH21 movement. They are using the functionality of the Rolex GMT Master as a benchmark so it’d potentially be a tru...

Re: What would I like CW to Design next?

The latest Worn & Wound podcast is devoted to an interview with Mike France. Whilst most of it is pushing the C65 SC he also alluded to some future releases. The most firm from his comments is a C65 Chronograph launching in November. Previous renders in Loupe have suggested that It’ll be a two regis...
