Re: Non CW of the Day

Like it. Put it on a brown suede strap for the time being. Pretty face, just something different. Snap! They probably arrived on the same Stansted flight yesterday. https://i.postimg.cc/bv0tvddz/A0-C20427-0-B6-D-4573-95-E4-5-CC35-D06-C0-CB.jpg Grey and tan leather Nato’s look promising but I think ...

Re: Leaving the forum after three and a half years

I'm sorry to hear about your medical issues and wish you all the best for a positive outcome. You've clearly been very invested in this forum over the last few years and I can understand why you might wish to step back and invest some time in other pursuits. Again the best of luck in this endeavour....

Re: anOrdain: a dilemma

I had an invitation about 5-6 weeks ago and was offered a build slot for the first quarter of 2023. Their prices had risen significantly from when I first became interested and I decided I didn't really want an expensive dress watch that much and didn't proceed. In hindsight maybe I should have take...

Re: Why?

How long will the name Christopher Ward last? It must be a nightmare having the name of an ex director on everything and being reminded 24/7! I'm guessing the swish is a compromise or a stepping stone until they do a complete name change or they are absorbed by another company I suspect that the br...

I agree. I didn’t realise that Nomos are now using regular fitted bracelets. Is that a new thing for them or have I missed it?
As far as I know these fitted bracelets are only available for the Club Neomatiks and first appeared on the 42mm version a year or two ago.

Newly announced 37mm Club Sport Neomatik. I particularly like the green version.

Bought a couple of straps for my latest arrival .
That's one of the nicest photo's of these that I've seen. I'm very tempted to try and beat the clock when the shop re-opens!

and that strap looks very good, what is it?

Away for a week with just two of my lesser worn watches. Taken during a very brief spell of sunshine during what feels like a tempest raging down the east coast.

JJ01 jump hour movement modified to chime when the hour jumps. This movement has already been released in a modified single handed style by Meistersinger: https://www.christopherwardforum.com/post914509.html#p914509 I’d assume that the CW version may have more than one hand, although I guess it coul...

Re: WristCheck - Stif's mobile watchbox app project - beta builds submitted!

Happy to provide feedback; you'll probably get fed up with mine in time! I can only comment on iOS, but a backup/restore function to iCloud at a minimum is essential. the user need to be able to recover if they brick their phone or migrate the app when they upgrade to the latest and greatest iPhone ...

Barton just released their tropic 2.0, which is much more soft and pliable than their original. I have both, and have written reviews of both in the “straps” section here.

Both the tropic and elite silicone come in orange.
To be pedantic, the elite silicone is orange & black.

Re: 20mm Orange Rubber Strap?

The CW tropic style strap seems to be rather unique in that it is solid with no perforations along its length. Every other tropic strap I’ve seen has perforations… Given that, there are a huge range of quick release orange tropics at all prices. Watchgecko do some good ones but are getting increasin...

Re: Triton Rubber straps for C60 Trident Mk3 (for now)

I’ve just looked at the website again and it suggests that the design may have changed. The original images showed a moulded end fitting into the lugs with QR spring bars. The website still shows the same image on the homepage but all the detailed images now show a straight end strap with a stainles...
