Re: Ever heard of Norqain (or Kenissi)?

Nice looking watch but I just can’t get over the plaque on the case side. Take that off and it would be a real contender. It’s interesting that some facts about Kenissi are starting to come out. There’s been rumours and speculation about them for the last few months but this is the first indication ...

Re: AVO SOTC - August 2020

Very nice collection Steve. I’m in complete agreement about the Metris, it’s the one watch that makes me smile whenever I look at it. The C65 in the only CW that I regret selling. If it hadn’t been for my BB58 I’d still have it, but you indeed have to be ruthless sometimes. I must also be getting ol...

Re: New Generation CW Hybrid on MeisterSinger!

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I like it. The blue looks to be a pretty good match for the dial, despite from experience it being nigh on impossible to photograph without serious reflections. I had some misgivings about the orange, however it does provide some real contrast and character which I ...

Re: New Generation CW Hybrid. Any views?

Steve, I agree with Andy. I think you should try one and model it for the rest of us :-k Fair enough, lads. It's on order. I will post pics and thoughts when it arrives. How are the watches? I didn't wear mine for a while in June/July, when everything got a bit hectic. I've been wearing it pretty m...

Re: Richemont Reports Quarterly Sales Down 47% Due To Covid-19

I guess people don’t buy those brands online... You can buy most Richemont brands online. I know someone who has bought a couple of JLC and Panerai online from the Boutiques during lockdown. Neil Interesting point. I’ve never bought a watch from an AD, but I’d imagined that the AD experience was pa...

Re: Weird day!!

Congratulations 🥳

I’m also formally retired now and still don’t understand where all the hours in the day disappear to.

I’ll join you with a G&T shortly, just bought a bottle of Adnams new habanero pepper and lime gin so I need little in the way on an excuse.

Re: C65 AM GT Limited Edition

As previously noted this has a very nice central second/minute movement. Nice C65 case but I don’t like the dial style with the cutoff numerals for minute markers. The Certina DS-2 precidrive chrono’s are basically the same but with a more conventional styling. That’s where my money would go if I wa...

Re: Ball Watch Company - Under Rated Brand?

I spent some considerable time about 3-4 years ago looking at a Ball, IIRC the Engineer/Super Engineer. I think I got pretty close to buying but for some reason it didn’t happen. I still couldn’t tell you what held me back...
