Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

Just announced. Non-limited 40mm versions with loads of permutations of all the normal Doxa colours, straps/bracelets and steel or ceramic bezels.

No uk pricing yet but about $1450 (c. £1100) which is a very keen price IMO.

Re: Seiko Picture Gallery!

At the opposite end of the Seiko spectrum this arrived yesterday.

Seiko still produce quality watches at frankly amazing prices. This cost about the same as a CW bracelet

Re: Are CW Too Affordable?

In a previous life I worked in product development, albeit in IT services rather than primarily on nuts-and-bolts products. The 3 x component cost is a very broad brush starting point for establishing an end sale price for a product: 1/3 capital cost of the product; the physical bits than constitute...

Re: C63 Sealander Collection

Has anyone posted any photos of the blue dial versions yet? I’ve had a bit of a rummage through the forum and can’t find any.

Edit: spoke too soon, just seen the photo in this thread of the 3-handler from a few days ago  Nevertheless, I’m particularly interested in the GMT…

Re: Meistersinger Metris crown/winding

It is certainly not as butter smooth as some watches. Someone else also mentioned that the crown felt a bit gritty when you were screwing it back down. That was me. That grittiness went away after a few crown insertions; I put it down to being new with maybe some muck or other residue on the crown ...

This from their website.

Why would they be doing this unless they’re trying to shake off creditors and liabilities?

Re: New Tudor Pelagos FXD

I quite like it and also the way Rolex let Tudor experiment with more offbeat designs. Who else would have done the P01 and a silver BB58! It probably achieved its objective yesterday as little else got any media/enthusiast coverage. It’s a bit big but the fixed lugs are sort of cool. One downside i...

Re: Tribus Watches

There is now a gazette notice from companies house for Tribus (Watchmakers) Ltd. to be compulsorily struck off the register of companies :-k

Edit: also on their website they’re now saying ‘screw convention, we’re having a Black Friday sale now’. I wonder who/what else they’re screwing…

Re: RZE Fortitude - New release

I also got this. It looks a little odd, a sandwich dial with baton 5 minute markers and then an inner ring of numerals marking 13-24?

The title interested me and my first thought was GMT. However, based on the teased images on Instagram I'd guess it's some sort of field/flieger.

Re: Non CW of the Day

Finished my project. Definitely challenging as a first timer, but enjoyable all the same. I am calling this the "Corporal Willard," as it is certainly not up to rank of the Captain Willard. IMG_9138.jpeg Congratulations, a very impressive job. Is it a new build from component parts?...
