I’m ambivalent about date windows. Done well they’re OK, but equally I do like a classic non-date like the C65 Diver.

I’d prefer them to be at 6 for symmetry, but I draw the line at the window being at 4.5 which I think is an abomination :bäh:

Re: Dan Henry watches customer service is BRILLIANT

I had a problem with my 1970 last year whereby the bezel intermittently wouldn’t turn. As above, instant response from Dan himself, shipped to their French watch maker and I had it back after two weeks. Problem was fixed and the watch looked like new. They also replaced the crystal with the updated ...

Re: Bad experience with Christopher ward watch and it's customer services

... Kip, Will "give it a rest", but as with a few people here will wait till things improve before I buy again. I really hope they do as I love their watches but can only wait so long as I'm already looking at other brands, namely Oris and Marloe to name but a few. I feel others will follow if the ...

Re: Bad experience with Christopher ward watch and it's customer services

Don't worry all. Mike France's big CS and QC overhaul will kick in soon! :-k These issues haven't stopped people hoovering up the Summer Sale watches ! My impression, and personally I’ve had no problems, is that they appear to have some quality issues with the newer releases; and are currently unde...

3rd watch. And apparent admission that they’d been shipping out £1000 watches with a known problem
To be fair, they probably shipped them before discovering the issue so that it has become a known problem.
Still for sale on the website, so happy to take punters money :problem:

Re: Out of sync 24hr ring on C1 Worldtimer

I have the luxury of just being able to drive to CW within about 30mins so I just took it to them just now. They confirmed that this is a known problem with these as the mechanism is quite fragile and seems to be prone to damage in transit. They apologised for my unluckiness in receiving 2 defect m...

Re: Alpina Seastrong Heritage Diver

New Seastrong diver with an interesting bronze colour PVD coating which gives a bronze look without the patination. Alpina-Seastrong-Diver-Heritage-Watch-6.jpg https://www.ablogtowatch.com/alpina-seastrong-diver-heritage-watch/ Bronze PVD coating is a bit naff IMO. Doing it properly in real bronze,...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

@timor54, @Korkki - a very interesting concept and evolution to go electric for your outboard. As a non sailor, what are the practicalities of charging the battery? Guy Sent from my Xperia XZ Premium using Tapatalk As I understand it the battery unclips from the head of the motor. Therefore it can ...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

Cheers Tim  The make is Torqeedo and the model is Travel 1103C. In theory it's having 20 hours run time and 70 km range (slowest speed, optimal conditions etc.). The propulsion power is somewhere near to 4 bhp petrol outboard motor. I’ve heard of Torqeedo, they seem to be increasingly popular...
