Re: Non CW of the Day

... Today I have decided to wear my “quirky tool sports watch”. :) I prefer to call it my “steel sports watch with integrated bracelet” ... if it’s good enough for AP, PP et al. then Tudor is in good company. Mine’s resting today whilst its sibling takes over. https://i.postimg.cc/zGzZ9C0j/8-AA8-E4...

Re: Laptop etc. Recommendations please?

If you're going to upgrade to another iPhone then I'd recommend the iPhone 11 (standard not Pro version). it's got a brilliant camera and a decent size screen that would probably double up a small tablet device whilst travelling; and it also makes phone calls... It's not cheap (c. £700 sim-free) but...

Re: Decisions...

Tudor has just increased their warranty period to 5 years. Does this apply to new purchases only? I have a BB GMT and it is a terrific piece. The way the main hour hand can be moved independently (rather than the GMT hand, per the ETA movement) is far more useful for the frequent traveler. However,...

Re: Enjoyable harmless hobby or expensive addiction?

I’ve bought (and maintained :? ) boats for more years than I can remember; so believe me there are other ways to waste humongous amounts of money.

You can’t take it with you, so if you enjoy it and can afford it then carry on

Re: New CW Releases - Jan 2020 - C60 Elite 1000

The black brushed bezel is a nice touch in my opinion, shiny ceramic can sometimes be just a bit too shiny. With this spec and a ti bracelet I’d guess it’s competitively priced. However, notwithstanding the already very nice CW bracelet I’d also now be expecting screwed links (and half links...) at ...

Re: Blue is the Colour - SOTBDWC nbg - January 2020

Seiko certainly do some interesting blue dials. This is my current favourite. https://i.postimg.cc/L4knM26b/1-E9-F53-C5-ED7-E-40-B6-B7-E5-625-EE796-D79-B.jpg WRT the comments concerning their size. Yes on paper their dimensions would seem large, however in my experience they wear well, in particular...

Re: Klarna's online process - a note of caution

I also used Klarna just before Christmas for a purchase. I remember it as being very simple and had no problems with the application. More than could be said for the watch which was defective and returned for a refund. I was apprehensive, to say the least, about how the refund would work and the cre...

You really can’t go wrong with the BB58, it’s possibly the best value/quality and most versatile watch available in my opinion.

I do however really like the Meistersinger, they’ve always had a quirky appeal for me.

Re: Unplanned (well a bit) bronze oris bcpd

Very nice! I really like the pointer dates, particularly the burgundy dial version which I’ve nearly bought about three times in the New Years sales.

I look forward to seeing this on SC in due course.

Got the new Who album "Detour". Given it a few back to back listens. Not great. So I'm disappointed.

Regards Steve
I didn’t realise the Who were still releasing stuff.

I would recommend the album Roger Daltry did with Wilco Johnson a couple of years back.

Re: Branding...again

There is a churn of board level "activity" going on (from Companies House filings) probably associated with the capital injection. Chris didn't have much of a say (his shareholding was small) so my (cynical from experience) guess is he'd had enough. Chris wasn’t a director of the holding company so...
