TRIBUS 303 Squadron P8331 Limited Edition

Just noticed that TRIBUS have added these photographs to their website. Putting aside my obvious interest in the 303 Squadron and the extraordinary contribution made by the 1800 Polish pilots and ground crew; that is, IMHO, the best retro pilots watch I have seen. The design clues are unmistakable a...

Re: Does this sound a bit daft?

I’m thinking you should wear the watch as a reminder of not what you have lost, but of the life you enjoy.

As there'll be no-one else on the island, I'll probably swan around naked wearing a Rolex sub - safe in the knowledge that nobody is there to judge me on what I'm sporting.

Re: There’s a lot more to a watch than the obvious

Thank you again, my family’s story is not unique but like many is seldom told for the fear of not being believed. It’s only of late that the true scale of the horrors is being acknowledged.

There’s a lot more to a watch than the obvious

Sorry for the long post but without the background this would be just another watch, hope you find the read interesting......... It has been my ambition for sometime to develop a collection of unusual and meaningful watches, might explain my enthusiasm for watches that tell story. This watch is part...

Re: Its what we've all been waiting for . . . .. .

I believe Rolex also produced an Oyster BubbleBack back in the 40s. Designed to hid the thickness of the watch, again because of the movement by visually slimming down the watchcase with a protruding case back. It might be what CW have attempted to do this with this watch. Apologies, I did of cours...

Re: Its what we've all been waiting for . . . .. .

I’m disappointed, I was looking forward to getting my hands on this watch. At 17.2mm and a rather high protruding case back it will make for an uncomfortable wear for me. 4C620818-88E9-4BC6-9F12-225F6AA38C34.png Reminds me of the Omega 'BubbleBack' style in the 1940s when Automatic Wind was introdu...

Re: Its what we've all been waiting for . . . .. .

I really don't understand all the squawking about the size / weight of this watch, as it is near enough the same as its predecessor C60 Trident Pro 600 Chronograph and that was gladly accepted for what it was, and affectionately adopted by forumites as 'The Beast'. This C60 Chronograph ought to be ...
