Re: TRIBUS & Brentford FC

I’m delighted that TRIBUS is now the official wristwatch partner with Brentford FC. A club that I have supported since I was a nipper. See link to YouTube clip: https://youtu.be/frlgCNbYStA Interesting choice of partnership. Do you have any insight or idea on why Brentford? Are they just capitalisi...

Re: Tribus Watches

TRI-05 303 Squadron P8331 Limited Edition, preordered. That makes two for you, correct? You’re going “all in” with Tribus. Based upon your other posts about the 303 squadron, I just assumed you’d be ordering this one too. It’s a beauty of a watch! I can’t wait to see some pics. Yes, that makes two ...

Re: Tribus Watches

Quality has a price and one that was not recognised in 1946. TRIBUS is helping to right that wrong by telling the ‘Unknown Story’ through their stunning TRI-05 303 Squadron P8331 Limited Edition. Today being Battle of Britain day IMHO the story has even greater significance. https://www.facebook.com...

Re: Tribus Watches

Chris is really pushing the limits with the "My Dog Sighs Limited Edition". No pictures of the watch, no prices, sizes alternately described as 36 and 41mm... Is this what it means in 2020 to be disruptive in the watch industry? Selling watches unseen? They are not for sale yet as there are none to...

Re: What would I like CW to Design next?

I often wonder if CW design what the customer might want, or what they believe to be a great looking and functional watch. Maybe it's the same thing. It must be quite a fine line to tread, deciding between what you would like to produce and what you think will sell. There is an interesting thread g...

Re: Watches that never made it past a prototype

I just posted in another thread that generally I prefer the final production models to these prototypes. There has to be an exception, however. Looks like that one would cost you an arm and a leg. https://www.christopherwardforum.com/download/file.php?id=15839 I don’t think there is any other watch...

Re: Watches that never made it past a prototype

I was offered £20k for this one, mind you it was attached to a severed arm. 98883DED-81D4-4035-8B45-B7402F02E639.jpeg 650CC8C4-95DF-4083-8C0A-E4DE57753639.png Is this watch an Abyss prototype?!? No, this prototype was around for a few years before the Abyss appeared. The Wasp has an helium escape v...

Re: Watches that never made it past a prototype

I think they're great, but it may be their uniqueness that makes them attractive. I wonder how well they would have sold had they been given a production run? Re: Tribus Watches

Welcome back Richard  Which have you preordered? Thank you for the welcome. I have preordered a TRI-02 GMT COSC. I love the subtle 50s design clues. 5DA92F78-026E-4B87-BEEC-1DA2B9017852.jpeg Yep, I’m quite taken with that model also - if it had a date I must admit I’d have been very tempte...

Watches that never made it past a prototype

This being just one example that never made it into full production. This one is unique, no other was ever made. Edit: when I picked this watch up Adrian Buchmann, the designer, told me that he favoured this over the production model. The dials are completely different as is the case finish. He felt...

Re: TRIBUS 303, it’s more than just a watch.....

The watch is based upon the original Omega 6b/159 watches used by the Pilots. Please see a picture of Miroslaw Feric wearing this exact watch and note the similarity. Top quality Swiss engineering still at the forefront and also including a piece of one of the rarest if not the most significant Spit...
