Absolutely fair point. Objectivity brings us all to our own perception of value.

Re: Interview with new Bremont CEO

Every time I read a comment saying “Bremont watches are too expensive”, I wonder if the writer has truly experienced a Bremont watch. By what measure are they too expensive? One cannot legitimately compare Bremont and CW - I read a comment on Hodinkee yesterday “CW make better watches for less mone...

Re: Bremont Kevlar strap

@iain no picture? I note you’ve owned a ZT before, have you bought a different variant? Interested in your reasoning for buying the same model back, after selling it first time around? Tracked it down and read your frustrating tale. I see you’ve gone for the black variant. I’ve owned the 51 in the ...

Re: Bremont Kevlar strap

@iain - you’re quite lucky to get one of these thrown in with an Alt1, because they came with the Waterman I, and at the time I was told that Bremont wouldn’t sell them separately, except as a replacement to Waterman owners. They are listed on the website now, so things may have changed, but out of ...

From the seller feedback section, so not everyone may see this, but I imagine a gentleman of a certain age Bahnstormer_vRS storming a barn, rather than an Autobahn, safely secured in a Vehicle Restraint System. https://www.christopherwardforum.com/feedback-on-seller/barnstormer-vrs-t62613.html#p9829...

Re: A sales regret found its way home....

IIRC that was the last Zelos model with a Swiss movement, and the last with that particular dial design. They have made some rather special halo pieces, but Mk 2 Mako was the pinnacle of Elshan’s “regular” watches IMV. Perfect size, excellent dial balance, their best ever handset, and the ever so sl...

Re: Pre-Owned etiquette and practice

I’ve bought and sold a few times, here and elsewhere, always given mine a goodish clean before sending, and always received items which had benefited from a similar treatment. Once, it was clearly evident that the seller (from the SC on this forum) was a smoker. I left positive feedback based on the...

Re: C65 Aquitaine Heritage Concept

Amazing work, fabulous advert. The 50’s Aquitaine looks really cool, and at the risk of fanning the flames - that logo is sick. I actually like it more than the real logo!

Re: Bremont Supermarine 302 Mk II

However, I do fall in to the camp of struggling with their pricing. To me it's like they see themselves as a huge heritage brand with a decorated history. They are only twenty years old - newbies in the watch industry. By making heaps of people brand ambassadors it doesn't give your brand heaps of ...
