Regarding the above comment on the day wheel. Mine is dual Deutsch/English and I assume that this is standard.
Interesting - maybe they have switched to bilingual day wheels on the newer models. I just checked the 103 St Sa (the model I have) and it shows English as a free option.

Re: Sinn 104 st sa A B E Canvas - thoughts

They have them on their website:

https://www.sinn.de/en/Modell/104_St_Sa_A_B_E.htm

They usually offer an English day wheel as a free option, but it’s not showing, though probably worth asking.

Re: Sinn 104 st sa A B E Canvas - thoughts

I saw them launched yesterday and I’m already a fan of the Sinn 103/104 family of pilot’s watches. The canvas isn’t to my taste but the face certainly is. That shade of blue in the sunburst dial is a beautiful tone and the faux aged lume works really well with it. I also like the way they’ve put num...

Re: Interesting UK Kickstarter - Nardi

Weights are still approximate as the Metal Bracelet has only just gone into production. We weren't going to do it all, but again, it's what our Backers wanted! I can give you a close guess, but nothing I'd go to 'press with' just yet... Probably around the 205g+ area with Bracelet, and the watch we...

Re: C7 Rapide chronograph vs C3 Grand Tourer

Two other considerations for you, one of which has already been alluded to. Not sure if they affect your decision. The C7 Rapide also comes in an automatic version, driven by a Valjoux 7750, with 3 sub-dials and a sublime 4 part case. The C7 is no longer available on the CW website, so unless you se...

Re: Interesting UK Kickstarter - Nardi

I have backed it. First purchase of the year, with fulfilment planned for 7 weeks out. Mark’s passion comes through in his videos. High quality materials, British machining, local assembly and compelling attention to detail. I also like the blue tint in the minute hand, and a significant point for m...

Re: Interesting UK Kickstarter - Nardi

I’m in danger of breaking my New Year’s resolution on no watch buying. This campaign is funded, and I like the creator’s philosophy. The videos he’s posted reveal a true passion. I like the local manufacturing and the quality of the materials and the finishing. Despite my general dislike of KS, I’m ...

Re: Bracelet: in need of.....

If you want it to look anything like new, then brushed has to be only way, unless you have the appetite to separate all the centre links and buff them individually.

A scouring pad and some elbow grease will make it look way better than it does now, if not “like new”.

Re: Christopher Ward C8 UTC Worldtimer review

Great review, top pictures. You write well, and the review tells a story, which adds depth, above and beyond the basics. The C8 UTC has tempted me in the past, and when they appear in the sales, i have struggled to resist. I am particularly on the lookout for a black cased watch (though I have a pre...

Re: Decisions...

Tudor has just increased their warranty period to 5 years. Does this apply to new purchases only? I have a BB GMT and it is a terrific piece. The way the main hour hand can be moved independently (rather than the GMT hand, per the ETA movement) is far more useful for the frequent traveler. However,...

Good idea, I obtained a Bergeon ball for screw back removal. Arrived today, job done in 5 mins.
Thanks

Glad to help. Doesn’t always work, but always worth a try - and no scratch risk either!

Re: C60 Trident Bronze Pro 600 / patina

Also, when reversing patination, I see that CW recommend cape cod cloths. I've seen that others mention lemon juice (submerge the watch and leave it?) or ketchup. Any links for those methods? I know I can Google for this stuff, but would like to hear from folk that have actually done this and how t...

Re: Ebay

I would be surprised if NN watches turned up as “BNIB” on eBay. I don’t like this kind of profiteering and would prefer these watches ended up in the hands of buyers who really want the item, but it’s a free world, and it can’t easily be stopped. Personally, I wouldn’t take the risk of buying to fli...
