Re: 'New' old watch concern
Thank you folks. Now I understand. I don't think I'll bother with buying it now though as the expense isn't really worth it.

Right but does not using a watch for nearly 20 years cause a problem with the efficiency of the movement?Kansas City Milkman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 27, 2021 3:17 pmI start at the position of trusting nothing that’s sold on fleabay. This one does nothing to change that view.

Re: 'New' old watch concern
Is it sold "no return"? Can it be wound to check the accuracy of the movement. Can the seller advise? Maybe the price is low enough to allow you to factor in a service of some sort. I have bought new old stock from Jomashop and so on, but I doubt they would be more than 4 or 5 years old if that. I ...

'New' old watch concern
Hi all, I'm looking at a watch on eBay which was bought in 2002 and, if the seller is to be believed, has never been worn. It even has the plastic protector film on the watch face so, for all intents and purposes it is new. My question is, might there be a problem with the movement (automatic) if th...

Re: 2021 release wish list
A mark 3 Trident with the brand name at 12 o'clock so I can finally bring myself to buy one? +1 I like everything about the Mk3, especially the fully lumed bezel, but won't/can't buy 1 due to the 9o'clock name logo. Yup. I prefer the MK 2 hands and the pip on the bezel but I could live without thos...

Re: An Ocean One 'Comex' Joins the Herd thanx to a Fedex Delivery Today..
Sorry but that 'Ocean' branding is a big mistake. A deal breaker for me for what otherwise is a very decent looking diver. Well, the whole idea of this watch is to be a homage to a Rolex made for the French Comex diving company many years ago..the Rolex had the word 'Comex' where Steiny has put the...

Re: Certina DS Action Diver (38mm)
The 80 hour power reserve is obviously good.. The 19mm lug width perhaps not so handy .. Looks quite smart but I keep wanting the date at "6" in lieu of "3" to make the dial layout more symmetrical. cheers Or no date at all. Also apparently there are only two micro adjustment holes on the bracelet ...
