Re: Are import duties still an issue?

CW head of logistics, Sammy Benson has been working on this issue all week and keeping me updated regularly via email. Based on his feedback from DHL, he is implementing new procedures for international shipping in the future. He has also offered to assist anyone that needs help dealing with any DHL...

Re: Are import duties still an issue?

Update: dispute finalized, final import duties: $22. Yeah, that's much better lol Great result. It's unfortunate you had to go through the time and stress to ensure you paid the proper amount. I received an email from CW's head of logistics Sammy Benson yesterday, saying he was still in dialogue wi...

Re: Monta Oceanking arrived today

I received my first Monta watch, the Oceanking, in the mail today and am really impressed with the quality and design. I took a chance on this watch having not seen one in the flesh, but having seen some great reviews. I am not disappointed and think I am going to really enjoy this watch. I took a ...

Re: Misquote on back of new Speedmaster Limited Edition.

You would have thought they would have used the quote of what millions of people on earth actually heard on that historic occasion, not what he said he meant to say.

Misquote on back of new Speedmaster Limited Edition.

I just noticed they misquoted Neil Armstrong's famous words in the inscription on the back of the new 50th Anniversary Speedmaster. Neil Armstrong said "That's one small step for man" not "for a man" as inscribed on the back of the watch. Why would they add the "A." I'm wondering if this was a mista...

New comparison review of Trident MKIII

New review of the Trident MKIII by Mark Alamares on his Youtube Channel. Interesting comparison between the MKII, the Monta Oceanking, and the Ginault Ocean Rover. I was particularly interested in this comparison as I own the Oceanking. https://youtu.be/29GGT6CwN9Q Screen Shot 2019-05-19 at 8.49.02 ...

Re: Are import duties still an issue?

I received an update from Mike France today. As you can see from the included email CW is communicating with DHL to try to sort out the issue. I appreciate Mike taking the time to follow-up so quickly. As soon as I get any more info, I will pass it along in this thread. Screen Shot 2019-05-17 at 10....

Re: Are import duties still an issue?

i get the distinct feeling CW is gonna drag their feet on replying to this email. thought about calling but don't wanna pay for the long distance.... Mike already responded promptly to my initial question, and I have no reason to believe he will drag his feet as he has always been responsive in the...

Re: Are import duties still an issue?

I took the liberty of emailing Mike France reference DHL charging the wrong fees. Mike has always responded to me in the past quickly and professionally whenever I have had a question. He did not disappoint this time and responded quickly to let me know he is directing his logistics people to look i...

Re: C65 divers or GMT owner experience

Thanks all, and great reviews Malcolm. I read them a couple of months ago and enjoyed but good to be reminded of them again. Sounds like people are pretty happy with both options. Would welcome any thoughts/comments on how easily they attract thumb/finger prints but I'm pretty much there in terms o...

Re: C65 divers or GMT owner experience

Here are links to my reviews on the C65 Trident Diver and C65 GMT that I shared with this forum. In the C65 diver review I compare it to my GMT. C65 Trident Diver review. I hope this is helpful. https://www.christopherwardforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=82&t=50745 C65 GMT review. https://www.christopherwa...
