Re: CW hints at what's new in 2020

I just received a "Happy New Year" email from CW with a link to their new blog post. At the end of the blog they have a hint as to what is going to be new in 2020. What better way to start the New Year than speculating as to what is coming. It looks like a new elite will be released in February, an...

A hand wound chronograph, maybe?
That would be a cool release. Make it a panda dial or reverse panda and I could be very interested.

Re: C60 v C65 Decisions decisions

Your Tag, C60, Omega, and yellow CW LE all have a similar chunky dive watch look. Thick cases, large bezels, crown guards etc. I think the C65 with its thinner case and bezel and no crown guard would be the best choice of the two considering your other watches. It is the most different from your cur...

Re: Recommendations required please.......

Just a thought...there are some lovely watches here, but I think one would need to be satisfied that the alternative really did scratch the itch, so to speak, as opposed to leaving it unrequited or even strengthened. Downer’s Rules...accept no imitations. I agree Steve. Not everyone is going to fee...

Re: Recommendations required please.......

If your criteria are quality and attention to detail for a lower price than Rolex, I would recommend Monta. The OceanKing I purchased this year looks and feels like a luxury watch for considerably less than most luxury brands.

Re: FLE #8 Design Vote #2

^^^ Chaps, this isn't the right place to be discussing watches that you would rather buy than the FLE candidates. This thread is about trying to get enough votes for an FLE to proceed, not to give people reasons NOT to vote for an FLE. You were both advocates for a second poll and now you're potent...

^ and look where the "Christopher Ward" is located !
I hadn't noticed that. Good catch. I'm assuming it's because there will be a sub-dial at 9 o'clock.

Re: FLE #8 Design Vote #2

I was seriously considering #22 with the yellow accents, but have just seen the hints at the new chronograph with yellow accents in the new Loupe, so will have to hold off on my vote for now as this is a possible purchase for me.

Re: FLE #8 Design Vote

A simple vote on any that received 15 or more votes would reduce it to the top 3. Put 9, 22, and 30 in one last poll and see if it dies or if those that were overwhelmed/confused by so many options consolidate around one of them. As Phil and others have said, there is nothing to lose but one last vo...

Re: FLE #8 Design Vote

And I'm not sure that picking up the football and going home is the right way forward. Surely the top 10 designs (or 5 or 7 or whatever should now go to the next round to let members decide if they would be prepared to change their vote if their first option(s) didn't make it through? In life it is...

Re: Bristol GTG / CW Event - Chat with Co-Founders - Saturday 2nd November 2019

My experience was exactly the same as yours Malcolm and I only live 30 miles away! You’d think that I would have had more chance of hearing them! The camera position was poor, as both subjects were looking away from the camera. Members of the audience wandering into camera and faint conversat...
