C11 Makaira style rubber straps
As most will know, CW exhausted its supply of (notoriously fragile) C11 rubber straps many years ago. For anyone wanting a replacement that as close to the original as possible, take a look at this: https://www.watchobsession.co.uk/products/bonetto-cinturini-premium-rubber-watch-strap-in-black?varia...

Credit where it's due...
...I sent (at my own cost) a watch to CW on 13th Feb, which was delivered on 14th Feb. It was June 2020 C65 Anthropocene which was running a bit slow (-40sec iirc). After countless emails sent and very few nameless replies received, I'm pleased to report that after only 17 weeks and 3 days, the watc...

Re: Ward Hoard
I contacted him a couple of days ago on his submission form regarding selling a Watch, but haven't had a response. Follow up further contact sent today. Yes, I have been checking my Spam. I’d forgotten all about this , but I sent a submission form about selling a watch a couple of times and didn’t ...

Stolen 42mm white Mk3 C60 - Serial ABC-808
If anyone sees a white, 42mm Mk3 C60 600 Pro on a bracelet with serial number ABC-808, please let me know! I always use Royal Mail Special Delivery for UK-based watches, but on 14th December last year they were on strike, so I used UPS instead. The watch made it to UPS' North London hub, then 'vanis...

Re: C60 Graphite Edition £640 on bracelet!!!!
Many years ago I bought a DLC coated C4 Peregrine. In my naivety at the time, I didn't realise it would scratch up the way it did. Does anybody have any feedback re the quality of coating on the C4 vs later PVD versions please? I have the C60 Abyss, same 42mm PVD coated case as this. I've had it fo...

Re: Price increases in CW service dept.
Remember that one cell battery may not be the same as another cell battery. Many of the discount 'battery changers' use cheap replacements that can leak, swell or simply expire earlier than those from reputable brands. Precise batteries (make/item number) are specified by some movement suppliers fo...

Re: Price increases in CW service dept.
What is the cost for CW to service a Sellita 3 hander and a Sellita 4 hander these days? I imagine at the price CW pays for these movements, and given labour costs these days, it is cheaper to chuck the old movement in the bin and replace with a new one, rather than service them. Three hands was £1...

Re: Price increases in CW service dept.
CW battery changes include WR pressure test and postage both ways; for UK at any rate. I've rated £30 as cheap, having had several done in the last year or two; even to the point of only just covering costs for CW. £52.10? High; but not exhorbitant. Price increases in CW service dept.
Seems there's some proper inflation hitting the CW service department. I've previously paid £20 for new batteries in quartz models. That's now gone up to £52.10! I'm told: "Sadly, we have had to increase the cost of our repairs and battery replacements. Unfortunately servicing costs (including ...

Re: Packaging pet hate (rant!)
I was a bit scared to revisit this thread for fear that it was just me, but I'm glad there are some in agreement! The glue down card is terrible. I had to take mine off the paperwork it's attached to to get info for a warranty return. Now it won't stick back on and is it a higher risk of loss....

Packaging pet hate (rant!)
https://i.imgur.com/siu7AQJ.jpg I love pretty much everything CW does... Logo changes - no problem, more the merrier. 8-10 weeks for a service (or repair on the rare occasions they're required) - no problem, I can wait. Ukraine face on C63 with all profit to a fantastic cause - how could anyone be ...

Re: Value of Pre Production Jump Hour
How much did it cost?
If it's the gold bezel version I'm guessing it was pretty spendy?
