Ah well, looks good but I'm still waiting on the Black dial red bezel.

Are two kidneys really necessary? ;)

Re: Advice please - Hr hand sits mid between numerals

The advice for a service is sound, particularly given the age and that you have a visible fault with the watch.

You clearly cherish the watch, so give it some love. :)

...and alternatively, one of the proposed FLE options was similar to the Polar Explorer and with cues of the new Omega Planet Ocean in grey.

All very nice.

A 40mm GMT with dual colour bezel like this is on my wish list, with 12 O'clock logo too ;)

Re: 60|60 Watch Guarantee - Service Requirement

Take a watch manufacturer that advises a 7 year service interval. Assume that the watch is assembled with oil in date, but with a day or two left until expiry. That puts the effective serviceability of the oil at least 7 years beyond the expiry date... Then you have the situation where bulk lubrican...

The C61s. Nearly a full set!

Here are my C61s and an "orange blob" GMT to make up the numbers.

I believe that there is only the black model missing...

Re: New CW owner confused

CW watches on the second hand market are generally good value. They will usually have already had any warranty issues dealt with, so you are looking at relatively well made, attractive watches with robust, reliable and easily serviced movements. They also will hold a reasonable value assuming sale p...

Re: 60|60 Watch Guarantee - Service Requirement

I have nothing more to add to that already mentioned (and more eloquently put than I could too). It would seem eminently sensible to send the watch to an independent watchmaker for service after the four year period that's even if it was felt necessary. To downgrade an existing warranty benefit by 2...

Re: Where can I find a C11

eBay is your best bet. You are actually well protected as a buyer. Make sure you follow policy and you are covered for all eventualities. Take your time to find out how the system works and do your research into prices to get a feel for the value of the various models. Bide your time and you will ge...

Re: QC Issues C9 Chronometer

It's issues like this that seem to be far more common than they should be, that confirms that CW are not anyway near being the prestigious brand that they desire to be seen as. As much as I'd like them to pull their socks up, there really doesn't appear to be any desire to do so, from the management...

Looks to me like corrosion particles that have dropped out of the rotor bearing.

Edit: That corrosion being rust.

Just an observation, but the new logo watches don't seem to get snapped up as quickly as the older style varieties on eBay.

Re: Service cost and what is involved in a CW service

I’m completely miffed about “quartz servicing”. No one pulls a quartz movement apart do they? My wife’s Tag has a new battery and is water/pressure sealed and tested at approx £65 every 3 years, (or whenever the battery runs out), at a Tag service centre. Not once have they said it needs “servicing...
