Re: Bad experience with Christopher ward watch and it's customer services

I emailed them about this and Scott emailed me back to tell me they had made a mistake and I should have been quoted £150 for the service. I'd already paid so if it wasn't for this forum I'd have been £100 out of pocket. Getting a bit like Howden's kitchens by the sound of it ... just p...

Re: Does trident MK3 GMT wear large compared to regular?

I used to own both 38mm mkII Pro and GMT models, but can't say I noticed the difference between the 2 on the wrist. I felt both mkIIs sat a little too high for their relatively small diameter which is ultimately why I don't own one anymore. It's why I've decided to hold out for the (hopeful) introdu...

Re: Bad experience with Christopher ward watch and it's customer services

I think a proper GS 9F quartz service would be significantly more, but shouldn't have to worry about that for at least another 46 years .... theoretically :D

Re: Bad experience with Christopher ward watch and it's customer services

I was recently informed that it would be £85 for a battery replacement, gasket change and pressure test on my Grand Seiko, so that seems excessive.

A service?? They're probably replacing the movement and even then, a standard ETA 3 hander can be had for ~£30 :?

^^^ The vintage C60 doesn't have the wave pattern on the dial though.

Re: New C65 Trident Vintage Mk II

Like the new case and bracelet on this style of watch. Applied silver markers like the C65 auto diver would have lifted it, but a very decent effort nonetheless. If this is what they run with for the aqua terra style watch that's been mentioned, it'd be preferable to have a screw-down crown which ha...

Re: If Carlsberg made watches to be unloved.......

Although N60-43A5D1-S0KW0-B0 states size as 43mm, I thought the 43mm C60s also had the little baton at 3 o’clock. Or are the COSC/Chrono cases different? The SH21 movement date wheel is further to the right of the dial compared to the SW200 in the standard C60 because it's a larger movement, hence ...

Re: Damasko DA 44

Doing a Google image search for "damasko da44 NATO" brings up lots of pics, the very first 2 being an army green and green camo. Looks good on a grey as well. What about a grey w/thin red stripe through the centre? WatchGecko have an elastic NATO which would suit perfectly imo ... https://cdn.watchg...

I think the OP is looking for watch cushions/pillows to place inside the box.

Doing an Ebay search for "watch cushions" gives the sort of thing I believe you're after
