Re: Accuracy checking systems

I set my watches to the standard clock on my phone and that's about it. Guy Sent from my Xperia 5 using Tapatalk I have an app on my Android phone that displays system (phone) time and internet synced time. It also gives you the difference which can vary daily from .0XX secs to 4-5secs between both...

Re: Watch storage and/or display

Today a watch box that I found and purchased on Amazon arrived. When I saw it advertised I thought it looked fantastic, its reviews were frankly stellar. The quality looked amazing, and I thought it looked very classy. Most incredible of all, I got it for £31.99...yes, you did read that right. Look...

Re: The cult of Seiko

My name is StrappedUp and I'm a closet Seiko fanboy! There, I admitted it :D What I admire most about them is that they cater to pretty much everyone's taste and budget. Many people see it as a negative, but I like the fact that you can purchase a lower priced Seiko that shares design characteristic...

Re: The Bargain Hunters Thread

Anyone looking for an inexpensive watch Timex are doing 30% off Site wide for Black Friday. Guy Sent from my Xperia 5 using Tapatalk The banner at the top of the site says site wide, but the discount is not applied to many of their more expensive models (M79 auto I was looking at). As my youngest w...

Re: Pics of your past loves. . . . .

I've had a fair few watches pass through my hands since joining the forum, but this handful stand out for me. Legend Diver 36 The less I say about the LLD, the better. Was an absolutely gorgeous watch and I'm gutted that I don't still own it. Took me a good while to find one in stock and at a price ...

Re: The Bargain Hunters Thread

Pertinent to post this from the Bargain Hunters thread. Unfortunately, I think in most cases it is the other way around. He made the offer and not them. Their website is an invitation to treat so it is like seeing something in a shop with a wrong price on and the seller then realising at the till a...

Re: The Bargain Hunters Thread

Any ideas if this is the newer model with the nicely lumed numerals? No, it's not the updated version. Googling the Oris ref and looking on the official site shows the flat numerals. Also cross-referenced it with the latest ProPilot on there. Both pics below are taken from the Oris site. 01 751 769...

Re: The Bargain Hunters Thread

Chisholm Hunter have a grey Oris ProPilot on bracelet for £825 which seems like a very reasonable deal. Only just above pre-owned prices I've seen. https://www.chisholmhunter.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/550x550/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/o/r/oris-01-751-7697-4063-07-8-20-19-front...
