Re: Double Lug Holes!

Maybe the versions with strap are fitted on the higher holes and bracelet on the lower? The holes in my GS lugs sit low down meaning that anything other than a strap with thick, padded ends looks naff (to me anyway). A second set of holes higher up like on your Vic would allow a wider variety of (sl...

Re: What are your watch plans for 2019?

Possibly a red/maroon dial watch like those orients https://www.creationwatches.com/products/orient-automatic-288/orient-mako-iii-ra-aa0003r19b-automatic-200m-mens-watch-14872.html Or Mido Multifort/Tissot Chronometer with the Silicon mainspring stuff Or the Bulova Calibrator that keeps appearing o...

Re: What are your watch plans for 2019?

I like you have yet more home improvements planned over the course of the next 12 months so will have fairly limited funds. But I'm comfortably on the way to trimming myself down to 4 watches now which has been a seemingly impossible target for quite some time. I have 3 definite keepers, so the res...

Re: Alternative strap for Legend

Yes it is rubber lined but doesn’t feel all that rubbery. Might give it a shower to see how it copes The product description was a water resistant rubber lining. Should be fine i reckon I hope you mean just the strap. Surely you can't be thinking of taking your dive watch in the shower. That would ...

Re: Orient Small Seconds

I like it! Would be nice if they also offered a non-date model.

I have a plain mk3 and the small seconds certainly adds some bonus visual interest to the large'ish dial.

Re: Has Rolex gone to far...

Personally if you own a watch and want it modified then you should be able to do what you want with it, but if you modify and then sell as a 'Rolex' incl the name and logo on the dial you are asking for trouble. Maybe, but if you bought a Ferrari, sprayed it pink and fitted diamond-encrusted wheels...

Re: Ooh la la! 'French Style' straps

Question on the watchgeko strap for those that have them please... I would quite like to try one on my little LLD but it has awkward lug width of 19mm. Do you reckon a 20mm strap would squidge in enough to fit and not look dodgy? thanks I don't see why not. I occasionally wear 20mm seatbelt NATOs o...

Looks great on that strap.

Of all the fantastic watches on this forum, this one never fails to raise a smile. So much character!

Selling this was not my finest hour

Got a real hankering for a grey dial watch with a splash of colour and would love to have this back on my wrist.

Re: I Know, I Know...(Logo Opinion)

BUT... I am sure that balancing out the dial with Either the Logo in a noticeable properly contrasting finish Or re-positioning the Name back to where nearly every other watch in history has it (must be a reason there folks...!!) would further enhance sales. Why wouldn't a business do that, unless ...

Re: Crown and crystal swap?

I've tried this before, but the crown was waaay too small to fit a crystal to.

On a serious note, it may be possible with an aftermarket crystal, but you'd invalidate the CW warranty.

Re: The Bargain Hunters Thread

Not sure whether this represents a good deal or not, but I remember this watch being mentioned fairly recently on here. Bremont S300 in White £2,396 w/20% code @ Chisholm Hunter . https://www.chisholmhunter.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/500x500/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/s/3/s300-w...
