Re: Have you seen the 36mm Tissot Seastar 1000 in person?
No, twas the blue, but it was under bright display lighting. She has a polished steel/white ceramic Seiko though, so I found the comment a bit ironic. Probably thought I was looking to buy (again), so made the first negative comment that came to her head. :D I've handled a few of Tissots other recen...

Re: Have you seen the 36mm Tissot Seastar 1000 in person?
I saw it in the window of Ernest Jones when I went to pick up my Rado. I thought it looked pretty good for the discounted prices being asked online and did offer to buy one for my Wife. She wasn't as keen though and thought it looked "plasticky". For the current £276 it's on offer at Beave...

Re: Non CW of the Day
I've hopefully reached the promised land in my quest to fill the 3rd (and final ) watch slot. The Over-Pole is a pretty faithful LE re-issue of an old 1962 Rado model, but with an R862 (2804-based) manual calibre with 80-hr PR and adjusted to 5 positions, ceramic "Worldtimer" bezel an...

Re: New watch day!
Very nice Chris. These are on my very long, shortlist for my next watch.
Is it true that these are now discontinued?
I've seen some new 39mm 9F GMT releases that supposedly replace these.
A bit sportier looking, but not sure I prefer it over your model.
Anyway, enjoy it!

Re: C65 Dune
I’ve had a look at these on the website and I can’t work out the case details. Dial and hands aside, are these pretty much the same case design as the Sealander but with a different crown and crystal? Im aware these are 38mm compared to 36/39mm but the overall shape looks remarkably similar in the ...

Re: C65 Dune
The applied logo is absolutely spot on. All these little touches/updates from CW are adding up to a much more luxurious look and feel.
They appear to be listening more than ever.
By my definition, this isn't a field watch, but as an all-round daily watch, it is up there. Like it.

Re: Anyone ever had QC issues with Christopher ward or any other brand?
Yep, too many quite frankly! I think I'm cursed when it comes to watches. And all the brands you quote are ones that get a pretty good press on this and other forums. Indeed Steve, although I think I'm just really unlucky. Part of the reason why I decided to try and settle on a few watches. Easier ...

Re: Anyone ever had QC issues with Christopher ward or any other brand?
Yep, too many quite frankly! I think I'm cursed when it comes to watches. I've had quite a few issues with CWs, brand new, NN and in-warranty. Spinning rotor, lint under crystal, smudges under crystal, misaligned bezel, misaligned hour hand, scratches on a brand new watch ... Had a poorly machined e...
