Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

Looking at a pre-Christmas purchase of one of these but not sure which, so will take a few weeks to mull them over. The Halios would be a pain to source though so they could fall out of contention 20191017_133913.jpg I really like the Farer, although the white textured dial with the applied numeral...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

I'll post a collage of the stuff I've done later (twas my intention before voting closes).

There's a few missed which members were keen on and I'll put each one on strap and bracelet for all to see.

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

Updated the mock-up to include the "SWISS MADE" text and the current C65 bracelet.

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

^^^ I agree Neil. It looks fantastic and better than I thought it would when first suggested by Joseph. It also has the added benefit of working well on bracelet or strap. Edit :- No one has noticed this yet, but it's built and assembled in China to keep FLE costs down ... hence no "swiss made" on t...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

StrappedUp's cream dial design is the Dartmouth dial and hands with the C65 Trident Automatic case, bezel and bracelet so just as much a hybrid design of 2 watches like my design. So basically just a C65 Trident Automatic and that didn't make it to the final 2 watches either. I must say that hybrid...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

Is it possible to make a Dartmouth in the blue PVD and without minute markers on the bezel? It is possible and in fact, I've already done it within my Photoshop file. It doesn't look right imho ... vintage looking watch with a modern, blue PVD finish. Plus, the PVD is covered by the C60 above. If a...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

I'd like to see a Dartmouth mock-up in the same steel case but a black bezel with cream/silver markers & red pip, cream/silver dial with black minute-markers, gold hands & hours with white lume, and black seconds-hand with red tip. I'd just like a visualization of it so maybe it could be worked on?...

Re: Buying Guide: The New Luxury Sports Watches of 2019

All dials look great, but I'm especially drawn to the white.

They grey is actually my pick of the bunch, but it comes with gold/rose gold markers and hands which takes away the everyday'ness for me.

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

There are a few ideas for mock-ups that people have asked for that haven't yet been done. There are a few of us who can do a bit of Photoshop, but I personally won't have time until the weekend - but I hope to have a good crack at getting through a few of them then. I'm travelling up to the big smo...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

Surely there has to be an even playing field here.

I mean ... a C60 is available with blue PVD finishing and custom smoked dial amongst other minor tweaks, but it'll be cost prohibitive to use a bronze bezel & crown that already exists in the parts catalogue on the Dartmouth?

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

And the stick hands of the other C65s look very dull and lack any imagination. That was always my thought. However, after owning a C65 GMT for a brief period, the bevelled edges combined with brushed/polished finishing make them much more pleasing than the stock images suggest imo. Granted they'll ...
