Re: So, there's this watch company..

Yeah, I finally got in to the CW archive sales section, tried a few times today with no luck. Oh well nothing there for me this time but I sure wonder when they will get their server fixed. It has to be very frustrating for anyone who is hot to trot to get a good bargain though.

Re: Steinhart Ocean 39 Explorer

I do like the addition of the 3, 6, 9 Arabic numerals and the 39mm size but it might be a bit thick at 14mm. Nonetheless an interesting watch, thanks for sharing.

Re: What are the biggest porkies an AD has ever told you?

When, a long time ago, I was in the motor trade I worked with a great salesman. We had a very nice, desirable used XR3i in stock. Robin showed it to a potential buyer one Saturday morning, who really liked it, but said that he'd think about it and be back in the afternoon. After the customer left, ...

Re: Oris Aquis - Green

I really like that shade of green, I am thinking it is as nice or nicer than my Aquis 43 with a blue dial. Hmmm....... could be one to consider for next year maybe.

Congrats on a great looking watch!

Re: What are the biggest porkies an AD has ever told you?

Not sure if this was “porkies” or just embellishment, but on a Thursday in August I went into my local AD to browse the Tudor collection and I was totally smitten by the BB 58 on bracelet. When the salesperson asked for the sale I told her I needed until the following Wednesday to actually retire o...

Re: What are the biggest porkies an AD has ever told you?

@copemanphoto - not only did the salesperson do a good job in selling you the watch Mike, it was the fear of not getting it that played on your mind, she also, it would seem, got you to retire immediately and not next Wednesday. Definitely worth a Christmas card; she might even sell you another wat...

Looks very much like a Black Bay 58
You are right, other than the hands it looks very similar and it is easy to see where Tudor got there inspiration for the 58.

My grandkids jumped when they first heard them smashing, then they took turns on the computer reaking mayhem on those lights.

These breakable Christmas bulbs are a smashing success at my house, me and the Grandkids had fun yesterday with the volume turned all the way up. I look forward each year to these bulbs. Makes a nice addition to the forum.

Hey Frank, great watch choice and a spectacular location to enjoy it in. Key West is my all time favorite place in the USA. Hope you have fun on your vacation. I am envious! :D
