Happy St George’s Day!

I’ve only just sat down after a long day at work today and checked the forum. No mention of St George’s day but always a mention of Paddy’s day. So, as a very proud Englishman I thought I’d say ‘Happy St George’s Day’ on a forum dedicated to an English company.

Re: C65 Aquitaine Collection Preview

The thing to understand here is trust. We made a commitment to CW that we would honor their request of an embargo until a given time or circumstance. We have chosen in the past and now to honor those commitments. CW trusts us to do so. It is a trust that we have earned. I don't care what other site...

Re: Re: C65 Aquitaine Collection - Released

The biggest step forward here is the bracelet I reckon. Apart from that it’s a bit underwhelming. Although the cream/green do work well together as a colour way the whole design does look very micro brand start up ish. I don’t understand why the COSC movement is reserved for bronze only? I do like t...

Re: C65 Aquitaine Collection Preview

So, what has everyone been up to? Watching the hands on review of the new CW Aquitaine but ssssshhh, it’s secret!  Me too - I like the yellow one but the pink one is not for me. Each to their own, I suppose - I actually thought the shade of pink used was quite nice. The yellows a little ...

Re: C65 Aquitaine Collection Preview

So, let me get this straight in my head. There is an article with full details, including pricing, that’s been published within the last hour. There is a full ‘hands on’ review on you tube that is sponsored by Christopher Ward themselves. Yet, it’s not allowed to be discussed on here? In the words ...

Re: Please don't read

^^^^ Echo that for you Mike. Perhaps get stuck into the opening weekend of the six Nations Rugby this weekend or are you more of an FA Cup chap? Guy I love all sport and will watch everything I can this weekend. Even tho I even struggle to walk now and am grossly overweigh, when I was younger my li...

Re: Farer Erebus

Doesn’t look like a Farer to me - they have a USP with their use of colour and this goes away from that so, it’s a miss from me.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

Just stunning, even with a date. The price unfortunately is stunning too! Laurent-Ferrier_Sport-Auto-Blue_Watch_LCF040.TI_.C1GC5_Front-Soldat_Web.jpg Why-o-WHY would you put a date on that? I mean, Come on! We all have a phone don’t we? Sorry but what an absolutely ridiculous comment - ‘Come on! We...

Re: C65 Super Compressor Timing Accuracy

Sounds like it could be a happy ending then... I don't think I have ever wound a watch 74 times....I would be scared of hearing a loud snapping sound.. David On a hand wound you probably would, depending on the PR on the particular movement. With the SC being an auto no danger. Where the 74 figure ...

Re: HELP ME FIND...

Watchgecko have tropic rubber straps for £38 that you can specify a bronze buckle if that’s any good? There’s normally a discount code for them knocking about somewhere too.

I’ll not believe it until I hear Brady announce it himself - he deserves the respect of letting him announce anything, not media leaks etc…

I do wish I was currently ‘in the game’, so to speak - it is stunning. It shouldn’t work but it does and then some. Not as keen on the ombré dial C60 though.

So, we have a triangle at 12, blobs with batons at 3, 6 and 9, no date, vintage box style crystal. It’s the long awaited Ceramic Bezel Black Bay
