Re: C65 AM GT Limited Edition

I bought the C70 Auto Chrono because I really liked the case but hardly wore it and sold it due to it being too in your face motorsport....A cracking watch if the style is your thing though. I agree 100% about the C70s, just too “in your face” with the Motorsport references. And I can see why one m...

Re: C65 AM GT Limited Edition

As much as I’d quite like a HAQ in the collection this ones not for me, unfortunately. Too ‘motorsporty’ (if that’s even a word) for my tastes. I bought the C70 Auto Chrono because I really liked the case but hardly wore it and sold it due to it being too in your face motorsport - if I went for this...

Re: Watch box / watch pouch

I do like the Bremont pouches but Pinion has, by far, the best presentation of anything I own/have owned. Attractive, useful and easy to store. I don’t care much for boxes at all.

500 quids worth of ale, split between several local hostelries - supporting my local landlords for free sounds like a good plan to me

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

Why am I lusting after this one so much lately??! Theres just so much about it that makes me want it. 21mm lugs are a bit of a pain but I think I could get past that

Re: Would you buy a plug in electric car?

Today I joined the EV Club - and after one drive I am totally convinced! Looking good there  I must admit, I'm fairly convinced myself, although I have a little less power than you have! I bet it's fantastic to drive. My E Tron suits my needs and more - I've done a couple of motorway trips...

Re: Would you buy a plug in electric car?

Looks good Chris. Ernie, something to do with a milk float I’m guessing. What are your first impressions of it? Nah, Patrick. Chris had a win on the Premium Bonds. Guy Sent from my Xperia 5 using Tapatalk Wish I had, Guy. Correct in one, Patrick  Initial impressions are absolutely brillian...

Re: Would you buy a plug in electric car?

The Yaris Hybrid is going - it's been a fantastic car for her and does what it says on the tin with no fuss but.....that ******* CVT gearbox! Arghhhhh! From what point of view, Chris? Unresponsive or sluggish? I must confess that I’m Captain Slow so it doesn’t faze me in the least. I love mine! :D ...

Re: Would you buy a plug in electric car?

I guess one point about both you and Ferg's last posts Chris is that the requirement to go a long distance is only literally once or twice a year, for those very occasional trips a petrol/diesel car could be hired for a few hundred quid possibly? Your bang on, Patrick, only having to think about ch...

Re: Would you buy a plug in electric car?

I was offered a 48 hour test drive of the New MINI Electric so I collected it today. I do silly mileage so truthfully it won't do me but I just wanted to try it out. I do about 30,000 km's a year currently and 17,000 km's of that is my work commute. Lovely car, drives great. Power is insanely good ...

Re: Where are the hobbyist photographers?!

An interesting proposition, but these days I tend to use my Smartphone camera pretty much exclusively. I have a Panasonic Lumiz DMC FZ38 compact with a 27mm wide-angle 18x optical zoom f/2.8-4.4 LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT lens in a compact body (35mm equivalent: 27-486mm) which, according to my Amazon ...
