Re: C63 Scratched Lug

https://www.cousinsuk.com/product/scratch-brush-cousins-set?code=B35083 Get yourself a set of these (or similar) and use gently, you'll most likely get the best result with the steel brush but you can try (patiently) the fibreglass one first if the scratch is superficial. They work pretty well at b...

Re: C63 Scratched Lug

@KevinB I know the feeling Kevin. It's terrible isn't it, especially with a recent purchase. I bought a s/h as new Burberry watch. The first day I wore it, my seat belt clanged against the watch. Later on that day me wife noticed a ding on the bezel... That hurts! I am really sorry that happened so...

Thanks, exHowfener! That makes good sense. Glad your C60 accident was just a scratch!

C63 Scratched Lug

Hi All, Since getting my C63 GMT in May I've worn it nearly all of the time. The black dial's glossiness with the applied indices still makes me happy. I know watches that get worn get scratches and dings. It is part of life, but I got a scratch on the top of the brushed lug. I've heard people say t...

Re: Red Bezels - bit flashy or a tasteful pop of colour?

It is rare to have someone remark on my watch, but my red bezel/white Trident GMT 38mm gets the most (positive) comments. In 5 or 6 years of owning it I think I'm at 3 or 4 comments!

Re: Forum member observations after two years

Only just read this and what lovely imagery it is too! With the temps warming up in the northern hemisphere, at last, I'm beginning to think about a pint or two outside in the sun, in company. Maybe gazing down at the ol' watch from time to time as the sun plays on the dial. Hopefully better days a...

Re: Are CW going generally smaller?

For me the C63 is perfectly sized. There are so many watches out there that while I could wish for a smaller chrono for instance, I understand the difficulties that having multiple sizes can create for a company. It helps keep my overall numbers down, too :D

Re: Forum member observations after two years

I come here more days than not. I actually enjoy the watch conversations more here than on WUS. Typically more collegial here and I really don't like Facebook as a "forum". I use Facebook to catch up on my friends and Instagram to see watches and travel photos. I want my forum to be a foru...

Re: Tribus Watches

I got that email. I'm pretty tolerant of advertising and don't go looking to find offenses in things, but I was a little taken aback by that email. It isn't the 60's or 70's any longer. I haven't found anything in their line yet that really draws me in and that advertisement does nothing to draw me ...

Re: C63 GMT Black dial vs White dial.

I ordered the black. I have the Trident GMT in red/white and so thought if I was going to add another GMT, the black would be perfect. I waited too long to get it on the black leather so ended up with the brown, but I've got plenty of 20mm straps to try it with. Hard to pass up for $825 with the dis...

Re: What would you change about your CW?

I would have loved my Trident GMT 38 to have 2 4 and 6 instead of the 15 minute timer function. It wasn't a deal breaker and I love the white face and red bezel, but if I could make one change it would be this. The watch is perfect in nearly every other way. It is easily my most complimented watch a...

Re: Trident GMT running slower and slower

My C60 GMT was slow. Went back three years ago for misaligned gmt hand and because it was slow I asked that it be regulated. The paperwork came back that the movement was dirty (one year old at the time and never opened) so it was cleaned and regulated. It is still slow. It will be out of 60/60 in a...

This would be a great opportunity to show our support for a great cause. Should anyone here feel that they would like to support the 2020 poppy appeal, and haven't already done so, a donation can be made on the Royal British Legion website, And the best thing is that 100% goes to the charity. Being...

Re: Model longevity and watch obsolescence?

It's funny, but this is so true for me. When I started to notice the constant tinkering with things and the obsolescence of models so quickly I realized that I'd rather have just one good example of something and buy with the thought that I'll have it forever. I'm not a collector, but more a hoarder...
