Re: C60 Bronze?

I say go for it! Bronze watches are hugely popular, develop a wonderful patina and it would make a worthy addition to the lineup. I would be amazed if it warranted a 300 quid markup over the standard though. I think that half that would be a reasonable premium. If it came in at 700-800 then I would...

Re: bronze watch cases

How do you like that Archimede Pilot 39? I love it. Build quality is great and, whilst the Stowa Flieger watches are perhaps just a little bit better in overall finish (the decorated movements employed by Stowa are probably the biggest noticeable difference) they're considerably more expensive than...

Re: bronze watch cases

Encouraging the patina to develop may be necessary (or at least desirable) if you don't happen to live near the sea or otherwise have any opportunity to naturally expose the watch to salty air or water as you go about your daily life. Yes, the patina does initially appear quite quickly but, if you ...

Re: bronze watch cases

There is a whole world out there of chaps forcing patina on watches, using everything from egs and vinegar, to ammonia and concentrated sulphur. Some of the results are truly terrifying. It must be said that the majority of these are homages/replicas of older/vintage classic watches (normally Paner...

I'm clearly missing something with the whole bronze watch lust.
That one looks like it has spent a considerable time on the bottom of the ocean!

bronze watch cases

Like many others, I'm excited about the C60 Trident bronze that is to be released sometime in November. What little information I have found on it so far though, is that it is only going to be available in 43 mm diameter case. That's probably not going to be a deal-breaker for me, but I wonder why e...

Re: Effective Immediately - Do Not Use Photobucket

I doubt photobucket will be around much longer at this rate. U suck photobucket. Uve sucked for years now. Bloody adverts. Crashing my phone when I'm trying to upload or download. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-AHAIHXFjIqI/VByI2hZlFiI/AAAAAAAAaOE/hmHpzff_Vsg/s1600/****%2Byou.jpg Ha - that's awesome! Yea...

watch rotation?

Each morning I seem to stare at my little watch case and decide which watch I will wear that day. It is a completely gut-driven choice; I don't choose the watch the night before and leave it on the dresser because I very well may not feel like wearing that particular watch when I wake up the next mo...

Re: If you could only have 5 watches in your collection...

All interesting choices... but the idea of just having five watches is preposterous! :) So far I'm really enjoying my CW C60 Trident GMT 38 and recently acquired C60 Trident Vintage 38... at least one of them is a keeper, just don't know how I could decide which one. Guess I'll just keep both!

If you could only have 5 watches in your collection...

Which ones would you pick?

I think mine would be:

- Rolex Submariner Date
- Rolex Explorer
- Breitling Transocean 1461
- Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch
- Tudor Prince Date-Day

If they bring the green bezel/black (or is it dark blue?) dial, I'll buy it in a heartbeat!

Re: 40 mm Trident?

My sweet spot is 40 mm, but I can wear anything between 38 and 42 or maybe 43... as several people have pointed out, the shape of the lugs can make a big watch wear like a smaller one. My C60 Trident GMT is a 38, and when it is not on my wrist, it does look small, especially for a diver. However, it...
