I was glad to hear that the new HQ will still be close by in Maidenhead. I'll be there asap.

Re: New CW Sealander Chronograph

^^ I'd be quite happy if this turned out to be quartz and wouldn't be averse to buying it if so as it'd hopefully be in the more affordable cost range and it'd potentially become my every day wear. Rather a quartz than another automatic chronograph that's 15 mm thick with large screw-down pushers as...

Re: MoonSwatch Mission to Moonphase Snoopy

Likely no hope of me finding one. But pretty cool! https://www.fratellowatches.com/introducing-moonswatch-snoopy-mission-to-the-moonphase/#gref IMG_7729.jpegIMG_7730.jpegIMG_7731.jpeg 2 hopes of getting 1 of those ..... No Hope and Bob Hope. It'd be neat to have 1 though. The Oxford Street Swatch a...

Re: Moonwatch pusher fallen off - update

I received a phone call, with a follow-up email as I couldn't answer the phone call, to say that the service on my "timepiece" has been completed and ready to pick up.

11 days not 10 weeks !

Now I have to find a spare day to collect it.

Re: Crystal and case durability of CW watches

In my experience the cases and crystals on CW watches are neither more or less prone to scratching than those of other brands. - Those that just wear their watches, but are sufficiently self aware not to get them banged up, whilst accepting an occasional scratch as part of normal watch ownership. N...

Re: Buy a 2020 Rolex or order new & wait? Same ref & price

Sorry but I must have originated from a different planet as I wouldn't be in a rush to spend virtually £13k for new or pre-owned. Time for me to go I think :escape:

Re: Moonwatch pusher fallen off - update

For a true one watch individual, perhaps AD's should start offering a courtesy watch for the duration of the repair, a bit like you get when your car goes in for a service. I love this idea :D Me too. I can't imagine what they'd have as courtesy watches though. If they were of a similar standard to...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Thnx, it is quite an discovery to admit that you sometimes just need to lie down, take your medicine and take a break for a few days. L4/L5 have gone askew and pushed the ischiatic nerve. I went to work for a whole week under painkillers and collapsed yesterday...off we go to ER. Its not dangerous ...

The secret is not to wind it with the dial facing you - Just turn it over so you see the caseback and it's then so much easier to wind up.

Re: New Omega Moonwatch - the "Daniel Craig" White Dial

^^ IMO the whole subject of DON really is a load of nonsense unless you are looking to buy what could be a vintage Moonwatch where the correct bezel would be 1 of the areas to check to authenticate the watch. Yet some people make such a fuss over it but each to their own. Maybe it's explained somewh...

Re: Automatic Watch Assistance

I don’t wear it everyday, probably 3-4 times a week. On days I don’t wear I try to remember to wind. stefs point was that you shouldn't need to hand wind it at all. Generally for a (CW) automatic that needs winding after a period of not being worn it should be enough to put it your wrist and the mo...

That's always been there on the black dialled version.
