Christopher Ward have stated their influences for this watch,
but whisper it....
I see strong hints of Seiko in the general shape and gradated dials in the blue and purple ones.
There I said it

Re: C63 Sealander Collection
The normal C63 Auto just looks.....dull.
Come on CW, where is the flair. At 599 I'd save 100 quid and get the quartz C65 AM 1 VEV Special Edition. There, one case where a quartz is hands down better than an auto.

Rapide revival
This is what a new Rapide should look like. Give it a quartz movement. I never thought I’d say this about a Breitling, but this is stunning.

Re: Why Does This Simple Quartz Watch Cost £10,000?
1. They can produce one much cheaper.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 7:57 pmA. They are phasing out quartz (or have)
B. They are not in the £10k market sector.
2. Not having a Rapide successor will drive some to Seiko’s 5 series watches.

They’re on the website now, but probably still on pre order.

Re: Incoming - Teaser
You know what? I’m getting one too! I’m currently without a watch and have to resort to the cellphone. I just want a low-maintenance, reliable and accurate timepiece and this, with 100m water resistance, just fits the bill. I just find it so stylish.

Well it’s one beautiful watch, why can’t CW make something like this?

Re: What did you do with your CD collection?
I know I should stop, but I keep buying new ones anyway... There's just too much good stuff being released, and I still enjoy holding something in my hand. I’m ripping my CDs, even new ones, which I then listen through USB on my system, but I still want the physical discs. And I know some of my CDs...

Quartz
I think a new quartz Rapide is needed. It won't need such an expensive casing but can return to its roots. The Mk1 was really elegant - they could refine this for the modern era.

Re: C7 Rapide Quartz
It's sad, I had the Mk1 which went bust (not worth the shipping costs to repair but might take to local jeweller), and I was also looking at buying the latest but it's off the website. And I suspect they won't be replacing it. Hope I'm wrong.

Re: What's Your Favorite Quartz CW Watch?
I have two CW quartz, and my favourite is my MkI Rapide C7 with a white dial - got it 10 years ago and still looks stunning. It can be worn with a t-shirt or a 3 piece suit with ease. I see the C7 quartz models are no longer on sale - is this just a clearance or is it permanent? My white one was exa...

Re: A Lasting Legacy - Important News from Christopher Ward
I don't think anyone is entitled to know the exact reasons for Chris leaving. As long as quality control and service is maintained, we're not entitled to anything really. Yes it's his name, but then again today what does the name Bowers & Wilkins mean on the company's speakers when said gentleme...

Re: CW hints at what's new in 2020
A completely new Motorsport range with a simpler, lower cost, case than the previous C7’s. The current case is brilliant, it’s the dial of the mk3 that’s always been questionable. I had the mk1 Rapide quartz chronograph, white dial, and it was equally elegant and sporty. It looked more expensive tha...
