Re: A Lasting Legacy - Important News from Christopher Ward

Could also be Chris, James and Jonathon (I'm guessing his sons/tribe) - the three founders. I appreciate Wera is listed, but I'm sure Chris is involved. Seeing as it started as Ward Bros., I am guessing it refers to the 3 sons, Jake, James and Jonathon. Agree for Ward-Bros, but Jake resigned on 14t...

Re: Coronavirus

nothing CW does is essential so why are they still operating? Official UK guidance has asked for some non-essential shops and venues to shut and hasn't asked for all businesses to close. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-employers-and-businesses-about-covid-19/guidance-for-empl...

Re: How far will watch prices drop?

Watchfinder would be the last place I would be looking at if I was in a buying mood. They've never done bargains as far as I know, something tells me they'll have a warehouse full of stock that'll be losing value daily. Never used them myself, I'm sure they've looked after a few customers over the y...

Re: A Lasting Legacy - Important News from Christopher Ward

Re: How far will watch prices drop?

The high street was already struggling prior to this event, with some established names disappearing such as Mothercare and Thomas Cook, whilst some others such as Debenhams keep trying to reinvent themselves. Intu the owner of some of the countries largest shopping centres is also struggling, havin...

Re: C65 GMT Worldtimer

Blog post suggests the C65 is fitted with a COSC certified movement, which from what I can tell isn't accurate. Different watches – same movement If you value near-perfect accuracy, the Sellita SW330 GMT movement that powers both watches will be your trusted friend. Not only does it run a GMT functi...

Re: Finance for Watches

I've bought a couple on 0% over the years, but always have the cash in the bank just in case. In fact I tend to clear mine off early when times are good. 0% is only worth doing if you can also get a good discount on the watch in question as well as taking the cheap finance, although many providers r...
