Re: Tribus now in administration

I hope this isn’t as we’ve seen in the past on Watchdog type programmes, where directors walk away and set up a new company leaving creditors and customers etc in the lurch.

Good luck to any waiting for watches, especially if you don’t have credit card protection.

When I mentioned Kickstarter, it was for the original campaign for the Essence. I hope I didn’t mislead you into thinking there was a project for the Reef.

Re: New Formex Reef - With interchangeable bezel.

Brian, Formex quote 42mm as the case size. Do you know where they measure that? In other words does it include the side lump at 9 o’clock? Best I can ascertain as I’m not sure what you mean by the side lump, but my original Essence is 43mm either side of crown. Just checked Kickstarter campaign and...

I have the original Formex Essence and can honestly say, the fit and finish/timekeeping is up there with the best I’ve ever seen. Brian, Formex quote 42mm as the case size. Re: Non CW of the Day

Picked up one of the Ginza releases for a nose. Dial is very pretty, although the endlink fitment leaves a lot to be desired. CW spoils us ya know! ps. excuse fingerprints on bezel  https://i.ibb.co/m0F3mdr/PXL-20211111-112646134.jpg Just checked my Presage Ginza, endlinks are perfect fit.

Re: Vintage Roadgrey leather straps by finwatchstraps

Some nice looking straps, but sale discounts leave a lot to be desired.

Just 2 examples, there are many more similarly reduced:-

Steinhart - €65 down to €64
Tag - €210 down to €208

Wow, puts recent Tribus sale to shame!

Re: Kickstarter payments

It is also worth noting that claims on credit card payments must be made within 6 months. I think this applies to Amex and Visa.

Many Kickstarter projects take longer than this, so this may invalidate any claim.

Some on the Hamtun H3 campaign have found this out to their cost.

Re: C60 Concept

3 and a half grand for a CW - no thanks I agree, many more options at that price point. I cannot in my wildest dreams imagine paying over 3k for a CW. The C60 Mk3 is better in so many ways. Can you really say the Concept is worthy of being over 4x the price. As someone had already stated, this will...

Great looking dial:-

It’s the Seiko Prospex Alpinist 'Ginza' 140th Anniversary LE isn’t it?

I’ve got the Presage ‘Ginza’ version being despatched tomorrow.

Re: Loupe thread

I agree it’s just a bit of fun, but I have loads of Beatles books and a fair few photos show George with a watch on. As to CW watches that they wear, when I received email I thought they targeting me. So I would buy each suggestion, due to my username!! Wasn’t it in later life that Goerge ditched t...

Re: Loupe thread

Creative connection in the Loupe: Which CW watch would the Beatles wear? I’m not sure they have got this right, in particular George was known to not wear a watch. I guess it’s an article that’s a bit of fun. https://www.christopherward.com/loupe-magazine/article?cid=cw-watch-for-the-beatles&ut...
