Re: Would you buy one of these as the next Forum Limited Edition?

^^^^ Disagree entirely. The black sweep hand is ho hum, while red lifts it out of the ordinary into something special. Too little is not enough. How about black with a red tip? For me, the black seconds hand is a much more coherent design than silver, but a splash of red might be best of both? Sent...

Re: FLE #8 - poll #2

I voted for #1. #2 is also good but the fully red second hand is just too much red. That said, I'm not too sure about having black hour and minute hands and then a silver (I think?) and red seconds hand...seems like quite a lot going on there.

Re: Would you buy one of these as the next Forum Limited Edition?

By "applied device" do you mean the twin flags? As far as I can see the flags on the C7 range look as if they are applied although I don't know if they'd be the right size for the proposed FLE GMT. Surely if they've been produced for another CW watch there'd be no need for new tooling? Am I wrong? ...

Re: Would you buy one of these as the next Forum Limited Edition?

I like the idea of an exhibition back and 300m will do fine (I actually use my dive watches for diving and I think only one or two have greater than 300m WR). Quick question, though. I agree that an exhibition back is only really worthwhile if your movement is worth looking at. So, what about a cust...

Re: Would you buy one of these as the next Forum Limited Edition?

Blackened Hands / Indicies Now, look here, chap, this really isn't on. I'd pretty much written off CW for the foreseeable as a result of the issue-that-should-not-be-discussed and had made my peace with it, as had my wallet. Then you go and do this and now I'm thinking about budgets and selling the...

How about #4 with a textured white dial (think GS snowflake / Seiko Fuyugeshiki)?

Re: CW Customer Service - Time to give Up

All of these reports are troubling. I live abroad, so ordering products unseen largely goes with the territory. Everything comes with an element of risk because return shipping is an utter pain. I own 3 CWs but this apparent drop in QC/CS would give me serious pause for thought before dropping coin ...

Re: Another CS nightmare (still in progress)

^^^^ Sounds iffy. So within 3 hours it’d been examined by a technician and knew how much it was to fix? Whilst people wait weeks for a diagnosis? That is extraordinary. And no you don’t pay upfront. Are they going completely loopy now? Like you I only own one and would like to get another. But don’...

Re: C60 Trident Chronograph alternative straps / Nato's

Bumping an old thread with some new shoes for the Trident Chrono. Somewhat left-field, but I took a punt on a blue and yellow Citizen Nighthawk Blue Angels strap. Crap photos, but I'm really quite happy with it. (Strap was from Hurley Roberts, which was cheaper than most other outlets by about USD 2...

Re: C60 Trident Mk3 - pictures..!

Great work with all of the photos, team, thank you. Not sold on the new hands, but sort of moot as the 9 o'clock logo means I won't be buying one anyway. However, the improved specs are good and I like the blue and orange. (Seem to recall someone (Nordwulf?) mocking up a blue and orange trident for ...

Re: C60 Trident Mk3 - pictures..!

Ok, having now seen the pics (thanks, guys!), I agree both that the new design is bland ("stark" was a word that also came to mind) and that the "DNA" is missing. I know some people don't like the knife/fork/spoon combo, but I always thought it had its own oddball charm and suited the overall design...

My Google-fu has failed me. Can anyone point me in the right direction, privately or otherwise?

Re: Bronze Magrette Waterman

Funnily enough that's one of the things I really like about my planet ocean - a thin steel band (offhand I can't recall if it's part of the bezel or insert) that frames the black dial and gives a sharp contrast.
