Re: New C65 Trident Vintage Mk II

Give it a blue dial and I'm in.

Not sure what it is, probably the case shape — it looks a lot better than the previous version. Just wish they had more variety. A white dial option wouldn't hurt, either.

Re: C60 Trident Pro 600 Mk3 - Media Launch

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190501/9469b71d844a877ffb651c8fa9ee4cfc.jpg Very interesting comparison and I wonder how 38 vs 38 compares now in terms of perceived or felt size and weight. Style-wise, this confirms for me that the MK3 is a clear step up. Granted, GMT vs Pro isn't quite a 1 to 1...

Re: C60 Mk 1 or 2 GMT: was a white dial version available?

Yep. I own the white dial, black bezel non-GMT and I like it a lot. I wondered if they might do white dials on the mk3, but I suppose they discontinued them for a reason, way back when. The execution wasn't perfect but had its appeal.

Re: C60 Trident Pro 600 Mk3 - Media Launch

Been inactive for a long while but have been watching things from the sidelines and waiting for the new Tridents. I'm into it. Very, very glad they chose to honor 38mm again, after feeling forgotten for so long. I'd like to save up for a blue one now. Undecided between the GMT and standard, but I'll...

Re: Blue on Blue - A new Trident

It still appears they've given up on small wrist customers. For this watch I could possibly overlook the logo issue, as with the blue dial, steel bezel LE. A shame. If they're really planning to add the bronze in 38mm, that's an odd choice — why that one and not other new Tridents?

Re: Timex Release Mechanical Watch

Very nice, and a perfect 34mm. I would buy — would make a great desk diving watch.

Re: New Releases

The bronze and blue steel Tridents are both lovely, the steel one enough so that I'd be tempted even with the logo at 9:00... but they've moved on from customers with small wrists. 43mm is a non starter for me. Sad! I liked the orange-steel Trident... the orange-black combo less so. The C9 Me 109 SP...

Re: Return to Wind-Up, 2017 edition

thanks for the tour  the baltic looks lovely, and worth stretching for. i think it looks a good fit from your wrist-shot, but only you know how it feels and looks in person. i also like the farer - a colourscheme i wasn't drawn to when i first saw it, it looks great in your real-life pic. ...

Return to Wind-Up, 2017 edition

I recall reading somewhere that CW (or some brand) considered the Wind-Up watch fair not worth the time and resources, perhaps because not enough watches get sold there. But to me the fair is very valuable — a rare chance to try out watches in person from normally online-only brands. First up, my fa...

A surprisingly nice combination, I'd say — especially the blue crocodile strap.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

I can confirm they are supremely comfortable and I prefer sub 40mm watches. The 45mm lug to lug does it indees make it fit well, I have sub 7" wrists I went for the slightly more conservative Endeavour https://s26.postimg.org/brhi3idzd/20171008_101612.jpg Indeed Mark, it was your post in the d...

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

Just found out about the Farer Aqua Compressors this morning, and the Leven immediately jumped out at me. http://www.thecoolector.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Farer_AC_Leven_wrist2_2048x2048.jpg I love a red white and blue watch, and this one seems to get just about everything right. And no date, ...

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

Stowa just dropped this baby. I dig it. Not sure if I dig it enough to displace Nomos from its place around the top of my wish list, but it's pretty fresh. https://www.stowa.de/cosmoshop/default/pix/a/z/AnteaKSrose/g/Antea_KS_rose_croco_2600.jpg https://www.stowa.de/en/Antea+Klassik+KS+rose+roman.htm

Re: The New C7 Rapide Motorsport Collection

If you want to see lots of photos of a CW, just wait until it's discontinued and goes on clearance

I still think the blue auto version looks great and I'd like to see more wrist shots. Personally, the 42mm case takes me out of the race, but I can at least admire it on the wrists of others.

Re: Does anyone ever notice/comment on your CW watch?

Rarely. I think it's partly the size. My Orient Mako has always gotten loads of comments when I wear it, and it wears fairly large on my wrist; it's a pepsi, so the colors draw the eye as well. My CWs are all 38mm Tridents and people seldom notice them. The all-black C61 gets zero attention, althoug...
