Re: BBC documentary - Rolex Rippers
My wife mentioned this article earlier today and told me I wasn’t to wear a Rolex on an upcoming trip to London. It’ll be CW all the way, not that I see that as a significant downgrade!

Re: Drab, slab sided, blobby indices…
Nice acquisition Neil, good looking watch for sure but then I'm a fan of Tudor too (although currently down to one, NF). How do you find the heft compared to your BB58 given they both have the same case diameter? Surprised you sold one of your lovely Rolex collection, was it just not getting any we...

I like the black on the bracelet. The integrated crown is an interesting feature too, might be quite fiddly though, it doesn't state so assume it isn't a pop out crown a la CW Elite.

Good looking watch Guy, from the photos it looks to be well finished. The roulette date wheel sounds like a cool feature, gives a bit of visual interest.

Re: New to me Breitling Navitimer
Very nice, congrats. In the past I've also mulled over getting an old Navitimer, not dissimilar to yours. I think my recent purchase of the new Tag Heuer reverse panda has scratched that particular itch (for now)!

Re: Six Nations 2024
Why on earth did Ireland kick the ball away from their own 25 with a bit over a minute to go? Surely they could have just recycled for a minute, and the clock out? I said that myself, seems madness and may well have cost them the match. Ireland did seem a shadow of themselves for long spells in the...

Re: Moonwatch pusher fallen off - update
The text written on the dial is very nicely put: I’m not quite sure how to translate it so that it sounds as clever as it is, but it says « Your watchmaker lends you the time ». ++ “From your watchmaker - you’re on borrowed time” The large text says “after sale” I guess to indicate it belongs to th...

Re: Buy a 2020 Rolex or order new & wait? Same ref & price
A quick look on Chrono 24, you can get a new one for just under £12.7k. That suggests to me that there isn't that long a wait for one of these. I definitely would buy one if I were you, as a Rolex owner myself, but would suggest either a new one from C24, wait for one new at the dealer. I would pref...

Re: The Curmudgeons Corner
All these ungrateful gits on eBay who get well described, great condition, well packaged stuff sent promptly yet can't be arsed to ever leave any feedback, even after I have left it for them...I also always leave for any purchases I've made. Ah well a first world problem but gets my goat up from tim...

Re: Finally
Looks excellent, even half price on a decent condition bracelet is a good deal in my book.
