Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

@Barrie, However belated it may be, please allow me to offer my condolences to you and your family for your terrible loss. Just read this about the tragic loss of your grandson Barrie, heartfelt best wishes to you and your family. It was nice to read the reaction from the FWE group and CW. Puts int...

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

Barrie, I don't look at the CWE page in too much detail nowadays, so your awful news passed me by. But it's great to hear that some of the guys on the page reacted the way they did. And also that the guys at CW helped out too. Yes, it’s been lovely to see positive messages from people, many of whom...

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

Thanks Steve, It was a pretty harrowing experience. He was just 5 years old and died whilst on holiday with my wife and I in Spain. A few of the guys from the CWE Facebook page saw the news and helped to raise donations for the charity fund we set up for the school he loved so much. This in turn rea...

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

I’ve been around a couple of years now and have definitely noticed a general air of negativity that has significantly reduced my time spent simply browsing around, reading what people have to say and enjoying some discussion. What I found interesting was that I’ve received some truly stellar service...

Re: CW on social media

I wasn't on the wind up. Some folk might not do Facebook and Twitter but if they're on an internet forum then they do social media. That's what this is.
I agree - I manage ‘social media’ professionally for a number of clients and forums are absolutely included in my remit.

Re: The new CWArchive

Will the original simple spreadsheet be updated (maybe a spreadsheet is feeding the new database)?

I find that really useful for quick access and I keep a version saved on my phone so I can use it easily any time I want to check something :)

Re: The new CWArchive

^^^ A couple of screenshots might help us to understand the problem. Thanks for mentioning it. I have to say that the vast majority of my writing, editing, viewing and testing (a lot of hours) has been done on an iPad mini running Safari. I haven’t noticed any element of sideways scrolling that I c...

Re: The new CWArchive

Great resource but I’m finding the interface difficult to use on a mobile device :( Some sections have very wide headers but the contents within a column is just a few numbers. EG ‘Number of recorded resales’ is 26 characters wide but the numbers in the column are just 2-4. This results in a lot of ...

Re: Incoming C9 5day Chronometer

I have a pair of these, white and blue, but done ever seem to wear them any more :(

The 40mm size is just perfect for me but I am so rarely in a situation where I need a dressier watch these days.

Might have to dig them out of the ‘spares’ box!

Re: What happened to CW?

I was in at #1 today and, yet again, the service couldn’t have been better. The annual sale has obviously taken its toll on orders and comms with people working shifts into the night to handle demand. There was even a, very orderly, queue of people to get in today as well but we were met with a smil...

Re: What size is your wrist size?

From the Facebook page poll back in March. 7.25” was the most common there.

Obviously a different sample and not mutually exclusive so there will be some overlap.

Re: C60 Trident Elite 1000 (mk3) - thoughts after a week

I’m still stuck firmly on the fence with the Elite. I saw one at the showroom but was only there to collect something else and didn’t have a lot of time to try it. I have an old wrist fracture issue that means I can’t wear anything over 100g and somewhere around 75g is just right for me. This puts ‘...

Re: Nearly New watches onsite

I went for the Bronze 43mm -- 1st Christopher Ward. Giddy-up! Thanks for the heads up, but I saw it coming and have been checking daily of late. I'd still like the Elite 1000 MK III, but watching and waiting -- Wonder if they will keep these in the line-up but maybe not COSC version? RD Was the bro...

More great service from CW support!

I see so many comments about customer service that I thought I’d share some thoughts on my recent visit. I was collecting my C8 Power Reserve that had been in for a re-casing due to a couple of small scratches. The reasons why it required the repair were nothing to do with CW (or me) but had left me...
