Re: I Know, I Know...(Logo Opinion)

I much prefer the new brand device - just to be clear it’s not a logo! I also think the 9:00 positioning works perfectly, cleans up the face on a watch without sub-dials but with a date window. The clean look under the 12:00 really appeals to me and gives the brand a modern fresh look. I do have qui...

Re: How does the C8 Power Reserve wear?

I owned the steel one (which I much prefer over DLC in the whole C8 series). My wrist is 7.25” and I usually struggle with larger / heavier watches but could wear mine without too many issues. Although the case is on the larger size it’s relatively light weight and I found it more everyday wearable ...

Re: New 40mm Trident colour has landed

I've been hoping they sort out the name on the watch, but they can't seem to get it right. if they left the logo and got rid of the name it would be so much better. I love the current brand name device on CW watches - much prefer it to the previous version  its definitely better than the CHR.W...

New additions to clearance.
Thanks, managed to pick up a Mk3 40mm

Which colour did you get?

I wanted a blue one but only black was available when I looked so decided to buy it anyway, lol

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

@Barrie, However belated it may be, please allow me to offer my condolences to you and your family for your terrible loss. Just read this about the tragic loss of your grandson Barrie, heartfelt best wishes to you and your family. It was nice to read the reaction from the FWE group and CW. Puts int...

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

Barrie, I don't look at the CWE page in too much detail nowadays, so your awful news passed me by. But it's great to hear that some of the guys on the page reacted the way they did. And also that the guys at CW helped out too. Yes, it’s been lovely to see positive messages from people, many of whom...

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

Thanks Steve, It was a pretty harrowing experience. He was just 5 years old and died whilst on holiday with my wife and I in Spain. A few of the guys from the CWE Facebook page saw the news and helped to raise donations for the charity fund we set up for the school he loved so much. This in turn rea...

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

I’ve been around a couple of years now and have definitely noticed a general air of negativity that has significantly reduced my time spent simply browsing around, reading what people have to say and enjoying some discussion. What I found interesting was that I’ve received some truly stellar service...

Re: CW on social media

I wasn't on the wind up. Some folk might not do Facebook and Twitter but if they're on an internet forum then they do social media. That's what this is.
I agree - I manage ‘social media’ professionally for a number of clients and forums are absolutely included in my remit.

Re: The new CWArchive

Will the original simple spreadsheet be updated (maybe a spreadsheet is feeding the new database)?

I find that really useful for quick access and I keep a version saved on my phone so I can use it easily any time I want to check something :)

Re: The new CWArchive

^^^ A couple of screenshots might help us to understand the problem. Thanks for mentioning it. I have to say that the vast majority of my writing, editing, viewing and testing (a lot of hours) has been done on an iPad mini running Safari. I haven’t noticed any element of sideways scrolling that I c...

Re: The new CWArchive

Great resource but I’m finding the interface difficult to use on a mobile device :( Some sections have very wide headers but the contents within a column is just a few numbers. EG ‘Number of recorded resales’ is 26 characters wide but the numbers in the column are just 2-4. This results in a lot of ...
