Re: CW web site down

I hope for your sake it's true but the Chrono seems earmarked for later on this year. Hopefully they've taken it down to try and fix the page response times (especially when trying to sign in to accounts). Very painful experience trying to buy something from them I timed the response recently. From...

Re: Unique Daily Special - Forum Exclusive

Was it just this model they were going to make available or some of the other military ones they’ve produced?

I’ve seen quite a few littered around the site still.

Re: New to CW discounts?

Obviously every year will be different (especially this one!) but usually there’s a £100 discount code available from Mid-May.

They published all the images, specs and pricing structure earlier today.

I'd definitely say Meistersinger is a 'brand to watch' for CW enthusiasts. . . :silent:
You must have known something because now you can buy these through the CW website.
They originally listed them all on the site last Wednesday I think but didn’t stick them in the menu structure.

Re: Selling on eBay for profit. . .

Just for reference - the £100 profit per watch is after all eBay & PayPal fees. In some instances they were sold on the £1 weekend offer periods. In others they are marked up to cover the extra 10% eBay fees. To reiterate - the main thing that bothered me about this is the way CW promote these event...

Re: Selling on eBay for profit. . .

Maybe you should drop HMRC an email with your findings, if offender is UK seller. Some small businesses would be happy with that level of profit in current situation. As to one of your other points, CW couldn’t care less about EBay profiteers as they will already have a built in profit margin in sa...

Selling on eBay for profit. . .

I've often seen CW watches & bracelets / straps appearing on eBay almost as soon as they have been put in clearance/sale by CW (often before they can have been delivered). Always thought it was a bit annoying but, hey ho, it's a free market etc. etc. I saw that CW were supposed to be actively restri...

Re: How often do you sport a moonphase?

I bought a Moonglow in the NN recent sale and, whilst it’s a beautiful thing, it’s a little too dressy for me. Although it’s only been tried on briefly and put away again I did have the feeling that resetting the moon cycles would be a bit too much for me every time I wore it. I’ll stick it up in th...

^^^ Happens to coincide with their £1 listing fee offer.

My C65 Khaki will be joining them this evening.
I have a few to sell as well and the £1 offer is making me think that if you can’t beat them you might as well join them :(

Re: Ebay

107 new CW watch listings on eBay today!

Highest I’ve ever seen. Lots, and lots, of obvious sale and clearance ones.

I wasn’t checking in any detail but one person has over 20 for sale and another was around 15.

Re: Loupe #16 | Spring 2020

Maybe it had simply gone to print prior to the announcement about Chris leaving?

A lot of these club type magazines are printed early to save on ‘rush’ costs.

Re: What's in Name?

I have to admit that the personal contact I had with Chris certainly had an impact on my purchases. On more than one occasion he went way beyond the level of customer service I’d expect from most businesses I have regular contact with. Quite simply this made me buy more watches from them. I will mis...

Re: CW hints at what's new in 2020

A completely new Motorsport range with a simpler, lower cost, case than the previous C7’s. The current case is brilliant, it’s the dial of the mk3 that’s always been questionable. I had the mk1 Rapide quartz chronograph, white dial, and it was equally elegant and sporty. It looked more expensive tha...
