Re: Where are the guitar players?
Your blue Squier Strat is looking great, quite a find. The Seymour Duncans should sound much better than the originals. :D  One of the best guitars I ever had has was an '80s Japanese Squier Strat I bought new. I offloaded it when I bought a 'proper' Fender Strat but to be honest I preferre...

Re: Where are the guitar players?
Haven't been on here for a while so missed this. Great to hear of so many budding rock stars and their axes. Over the years I've been partial to the odd guitar or two and have owned too many to mention here but here are a few of my current guitars: Danelectro DC59 12 string https://i.postimg.cc/02Mp...

Re: Compact Camera Recommendations, Please?
If it's TZ100 vs TZ200 - increasing the focal length range while keeping the camera a similar size means that a compromise has to be made. In this case its f2.8 wide open (TZ100) rather than f3.5 (TZ200). This was the reason I chose the TZ100 while also figuring that as I am not a wildlife photograp...

Re: Compact Camera Recommendations, Please?
Another thumbs up for the Panasonic Lumix TZ100. I have used all sorts of cameras over the years, Nikon, Olympus, Fuji, Leica from medium format through SLRs, DSLRs to compacts. I now exclusively use the TZ100 and it caters for all my needs, very versatile with superb image quality and the electroni...

Re: Electric Hybrid Bicycle Recommendations
Been thinking of an electric bike for a while now. Due to problems with my ankles and shoulders my off road days are over and my highly specced and modified Giant Anthem X full suspension jobbie is going to my son at highly reduced mates rates. Anyway just pulled the plug on a GoCycle GX electric, n...

Re: GYRE SeaCleaner - coming to Kickstarter
Duly backed. I like the look of the watch, I like the price, I like the idea and the sentiment and I don't have a solar watch so what's not to like. It will probably end up on a rubber strap though, I don't do NATOs but not a dealbreaker.

Re: C7 Rapide Quartz
My Rapide Quartz is one of my most worn watches, purchased at 50% off about a year ago. Great buy! But for me it needs to be on the bracelet.

Re: Rotor tried to takeoff when manually winding
I also had a C8 Pilot Auto that exhibited this effect which I could see clearly through the small display window in the back. Before I was able to send it back to CW the symptom disappeared so I didn't bother. After a year of wearing, I passed it on to my son, who has been wearing it intermittently ...

Re: Great move from CW
I'm sure that the 1.3 million struggling NHS staff will be absolutely over the moon that 10 of them will get a free watch they didn't really want at this time. Sorry CW, this is just a thinly veiled PR stunt.

Re: Coronavirus
These are strange times that are unprecedented, the like of which have not been seen for several generations. Personally, I am quite privileged. I am retired, mortgage free and my various pensions are likely to continue for as long as there is not a total collapse of the financial systems. So, I’m a...

Having experienced the delights of the US Postal Service several times both inward and outward, frankly I wouldn't bother again and would stick to UK only in future.

Re: Christopher Ward Price for a Battery Replacement.
Recently the battery expired in my Bulova Curv. I took it to Timpsons in my local Tesco. They charged £28 including a pressure test and a card entitling me to free replacement batteries for life for that watch, which may be a good thing as the original lasted less than 3 years. It was done in 15 min...

Re: What's Your Favorite Quartz CW Watch?
My favourite Quartz CW watch is my only CW watch - the C7 Rapide Quartz. Love this watch and it is my grab-and-go watch. I love the colours, legibility, the almost sterile dial and the fact that there is no CW logo apart from the twin flags. Even though I am reducing my collection significantly this...

Re: C65 automatic steel bracelet - not quick release?
I agree, changing bracelets can be a pain in the proverbial, there is a knack to it that comes with experience. On the other hand we would complain about gaps around the lugs if they were too slack. It's not just a CW thing they are all the same, just some are a bit more difficult than others.
