I have always thought of it as being a Continental Europe style, having first come across it in Denmark and Germany.
I concur with this....but I've never seen this style used on a date wheel but then most of my watches are from a major Japanese watch brand... :D

Re: CW Retro Dive Watches

I wouldn't regard the C65 range as "true" dive watches

According to CW the watch is lumed but, and I quote "it's a barely there lume". This is a very, very cool watch in real life but it's never going to win prizes for legibility.
I'd be keen for someone to explain the desirability of a watch barely legible either in daylight or darkness..... :( :?

Re: COSC Regulation of a Movement?

CW will not install a third party movement but it could be possible to get a watchmaker to get the basic movement to approaching COSC tolerances albeit without the certificate but which would obviously invalidate any CW warranty....!!!

Re: Steinhart .. they ship quickly :)

Now that is nice. What size, if I may ask? 42mm according to their website. What I’d appreciate knowing is the lug-to-lug measurement? They don’t publish that and the lugs do appear rather long. In my experience of Steinhart the lugs are rather flat and don't curve to fit the wrist contours so coul...
