Re: I had no idea..... I did not expect this level of quality
That's a very fine watch Pete. Thanks to the Jan sales, I ended a 10 month hiatus on buying any CW watches and now enjoy 3 of the C65 range, which I think are superb.

Re: Would you buy one of these as the next Forum Limited Edition?
Thanks for the recap Kip.
For me #1 (but with a matching blue twin flags logo) and #4/GMT1/GMT2 are the standout designs in 42mm (or 40mm at a push)
Cheers
Paul

Re: C1 Russel case back screw
That's a shame. I had a similar issue with a Citizen watch and Citizen UK supplied me with a set of 4 screws for free.

Re: Story Of A New Watch - It’s Not An Explorer, But It’s Certainly Been On A Journey
An epic saga, well told. I hope the frustration levels never reached danger point! I seriously doubt that there is any organisation in existence that has a pure gold 100% error free distribution record, but it is how those errors are rectified that make the difference between awful / bad / ok / good...

Re: A blast from the past - C5 Malvern Mk1 GWK
I agree with Paul Drawmer - the Mk1 face is so much better than the Mk2. Same goes for the C3.

Re: General Servicing & Battery Replacement
Hi Neil, unfortunately I didn't make a note of the screwdriver size when I changed the C7 battery (must do in future) but I agree the retaining screws are very tiny. I have a watchmakers screwdriver set (purchased from Cousins UK) which I find invaluable for any kind of work on watch internals. The ...

Re: C65 Trident Bronze SH21 LE £1850
Like many here, I really, really like the looks of this watch but am held back by the price. Doesn't stop me being seriously tempted though so who knows what might happen in a moment of late night madness?

Re: C3 - the evolution...
I bought the all black Mk1 chronograph in this week's sale as it makes a great collection companion to the cream face gold version I picked up in 2015 from eBay. My thoughts on the changes down the years are very much in line with the OP, with the Mk1 being the class act - so much more character tha...

Re: Ebay purchase - Should I keep or return?
I have learned to my cost that watch descriptions on ebay are not always 100% honest, and if there is any doubt about something I'm interested in then I contact the seller for assurances on the condition. Looks like you did this and still the response was not honest, so you have solid grounds to req...

That was me! Have been interested in the big crown pointer date for some time and just couldn't resist the steel and gold one, it really is superb.

Re: A little eBay story
I have sold quite a few watches on ebay and now always use RMSD in the UK, even for the cheaper stuff. Use of a tracked and signed for service is essential for eBay and PayPal seller protection. For International I will only use eBay's global shipping programme as my responsibility stops once the it...

Re: Winding Problem - CW Warranty Process
Hopefully a warranty fix. I had winding problems on a C11 - auto was fine but manual winding became very stiff to the point of clearly something wrong, so the watch went back to CW and was fixed under warranty without any problems.

Re: Stolen watch
So sorry to hear of your woes. Such a simple thing to keep track of watch serial numbers against original orders, doesn't say much for whoever was responsible for not including this field in the original CW Sales Database.

Re: What do Chr Ward fans think of the C40 Speedhawk?
I was a relative late comer to the C40 club, only getting mine last October - a terrific deal from a fellow enthusiast. I really like the watch - the overall design, size & weight - one of CW's finest in my opinion, and something they gave up on rather too quickly. If you can get one at a sensib...
