Re: Is this really customer service?

I think I would have lost my patience long before this point.

Sorry to say this, and my experience of Customer Care has always been good, in this case I think I'd be persuing a small claims- they tend to get results.

Re: Sizing a bracelet

As noted above, many of the generic screw-style bracelet tools have push-ends which are too short to push the pin far enough through to totally disengage with the spring collar. The result is that some people then resort to pliers to pull the pin through- often bending, marking and ruining the pin i...

Re: Change in 60 Month Warranty Policy?

I can't be bothered to read all the posts so if it has been mentioned already then apologies but I just checked the booklet for my C60 COSC that I bought in July 2018 and the 3/4 years service is mentioned in the booklet....so not new...!!!! Re: Change in 60 Month Warranty Policy?

^^ All true. But leaving announcing the conditions of the warranty until you've paid for the watch and have time to read through the manual- or worse suggesting something different on the website- strikes me as either underhand or sloppy business.

Re: Change in 60 Month Warranty Policy?

The OP cited a clause in a downloaded watch manual. Now I've scoured the website and can't find a reference to the 5 year movement warranty being conditional on servicing. Is there a contradiction between the manual and website? https://www.christopherward.co.uk/cservices/60-60-guarantee "60-month (...

Re: Dreaded spinning rotor

Well I finally got my Trident back today, it took about 9 weeks altogether. I have wound it & it certainly feels better so I will keep my fingers crossed. When I received it back the report shows reversing wheel & movement inspection, working time (effective) time spent 1/2 hr. Now surely it would ...

Re: Post a picture from your latest ride

No shame at all! You enjoy riding; and how you do that, and on what, is no-one's business but your own. I wonder if there are any side benefits of a full license- cheaper insurance, wider bike choices (focussing on comfort rather than performance), training or touring opportunities.

Re: Miyota movement accuracy query

Miyota's website lists accuracy at -10 to +30 so if it's regulated really well, the daily variation can fall within that variation and be within tolerance as far as the manufacturer is concerned. It also specifies a positional variation of up to 40 seconds per day. It's also worth noting that the sp...

Archimede Outdoor 41mm

Looks like Archimede have released a 41mm version of their Outdoor Protect tool watch. I've got to admit, that looks good to me. Kind of a blend bewteen a Glycine military and North Flag. https://www.archimede-watches.com/outdoor/outdoor-41-antimagnetic/ https://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/archimede-ou...
