Re: Miyota movement accuracy query

Miyota's website lists accuracy at -10 to +30 so if it's regulated really well, the daily variation can fall within that variation and be within tolerance as far as the manufacturer is concerned. It also specifies a positional variation of up to 40 seconds per day. It's also worth noting that the sp...

Archimede Outdoor 41mm

Looks like Archimede have released a 41mm version of their Outdoor Protect tool watch. I've got to admit, that looks good to me. Kind of a blend bewteen a Glycine military and North Flag. https://www.archimede-watches.com/outdoor/outdoor-41-antimagnetic/ https://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/archimede-ou...

A bracelet that just won't fit

During the pre-launch period for the Trident v3, some people were speculating whether the new bracelet would come with half links- the reason being that the micro-adjust might not accommodate full adjustment within a whole link spacing. While my Trident v2's actually fit me right in the 'goldilocks ...

Re: Accuracy Query

Not sure how old this spec sheet is, but it makes interesting reading. It suggests that any of the movement grades is capable of good daily rate, but when you factor isochronism and rate across different positions it becoms a lot harder to maintain the rate. All are capable of COSC-standard when sta...

I'm with Frank- a long battery-life quartz diver with simple 3-hand or GMT HAQ movement in the new 40mm case.

Also a military-style auto along the lines of a Ranger.

Re: C1 Russel case back screw

Could be that they don't actually know. The watches are assembled in Switzerland by their suppliers, they'll likely have a bunch of spare parts for that watch from the supplier, but I can imagine the situation where they don't hold the specifications for all the parts or that the parts are specific ...

Re: The 40mm Steel Rolex Submariner is Dead

I was in an AD last weekend who claimed to not have any explorers, tried showing me an air king but my heart is set on an explorer. After looking around at other brands window shopping and on my way out the door I was called back by the sales assistant who informed me they do have an explorer in st...

And remembering it also emcompasses model flying- something that has unfortunately been swept up into the same demonisation as the 'drone' pandemic. I'd urge all flyers to have their voice heard through the BMFA.

Re: Making Your Own

How did the regulating go? Were you able to achieve satisfactory results with the seagull clone on your timegrapher? Surprisingly good with this example, less than 6 spd positional variation and beat error never worse than 0.2ms. What I don't know yet is how that varies with power reserve or how it...
