Re: Mk3 Trident Christopher Ward logo/txt

^^It took me a while to get used to it. I was indifferent to the v.1 logo but really loved the CHR. WARD. I'm fine with it now. I think that's where I am. At the time it changed, I announced I would never buy a CW with the logo at 9. However, it's bled into my frame of normalcy over the last couple...

Still this one: Casual, elegant and rugged CW explorer 40mm watch, an affordable alternative for an Aqua Terra, North Flag, Explorer, Damasko and the likes. https://www.christopherwardforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=49979 http://horology.world/files/attachments/monthly_2019_05/C65_adventurer.jpg.6caa...

Re: Error message when viewing straps

I was getting it earlier. It stopped after a few minutes, but seems like it's back. Perhaps the site is collapsing under the weight of new Trident orders!

Re: C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi

I like it, but I was really hoping the twin flags would be applied to fill that space. I think I need to see it in real life to see if I can get past it.

I'm thinking maybe a first trip to CW Towers is due.

Re: Today's Showroom Visit

However, in some ways I'm now a bit less attracted to it because, as you say and your pictures show, the twin flags at 12 are not as prominent as I hoped. It's not the logo placement itself that kills it, it's the imbalance of the acres of space at 12 and I'm not sure the twin flags do enough to fi...

Re: Today's Showroom Visit

I'm also really keen to see the pepsi as I'm hoping it will calm my desire for a Tudor Black Bay GMT! Not wanting to be negative here but, speaking from experience, this rarely works. If you really want the Tudor, my advise would be to wait until you can get one/afford one. If not, every time you l...

Re: Today's Showroom Visit

That was indeed a great write up. I've been thinking of a trip to CW towers for my Birthday in June. I too have been trying to get passed the 9 O'clock logo and the C65 Trident GMT is the only watch so far that has come close, I'm also really keen to see the pepsi as I'm hoping it will calm my desir...

Re: Logo at 9 o'clock poll

There are lots of people, me included with the C65 Trident GMT, who like a watch but are 'trying to get past' the 9 o'clock logo. Now I know we have concluded that we are a small bunch of people who are put off by the placement but in the scheme of things for Christopher Ward the numbers are proport...

Re: My COSC Rapide C7 DayDate is... a LEMON

I think before pronouncing that their customer service is poor, give them another chance to put it right. They fixed your watch initially, as far as they are concerned it's fixed. They don't know it's broken again. I'd go back and give them the chance to do the right thing. They usually do. (The mov...

Re: Logo at 9 o'clock poll

I've just voted with the "Hate 9o'clock - won't buy a lefty logo CW" as it's the closest to how I feel. A truer statement for me would be "Can't like 9o'clock so I can't buy any lefty logo CW" I've posted my thoughts previously and recently but I'll repeat them here so they'll be together with othe...

Re: C65 Trident Automatic

That's a nice looking watch and the closest I've come to liking the 9 o'clock word mark, as the twin flags goes some way to filling the acres of space at 12. I didn't immediately notice the black date wheel but once it's pointed out I can't un-see it.
Close but not close enough.

Re: CW watch design suggestions

9 index replaced with twin flags. And just to be different and disruptive, the GTG in Dublin showed Mr. France being the driving force when it comes to new models and designs so let's put his name on the dial for a change. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/krklLUDFglzrEPFMDhfKj0ue7mTKzxDs1DGr8FdzJY...

Re: Edinburgh GTG - Chat with Chris - Saturday 19th January 2019

Same for me. I bought my Trident (red bezel) when I was craving a Tudor Black Bay. It scratched the itch nicely, and I still wear it all the time. I'm now craving a Black Bay GMT and I was hoping this may do the trick. But sadly not and I'm afraid it's that text placement again. I was starting to ge...

Re: C60 Homage

It definitely is an homage, it's called the Trident Homage after all! Case looks pretty accurate. Just happy it's an homage and not a fake, though my fear is those would be soon to come. Yep. They are pretty brazen about it. The description actually states: " Trident Dive Watch Homage made by Heimd...
