Re: Newbie CW Trident Pro 600 Owner - Did I Just Mess Up?

To echo Kip’s comments I’m sure you won’t notice any difference. I used to favour ETA, for no logical reason other than what goes on in my own head. I have a number of Sellita movements now and without exception they all outperform the ETA’s in terms of accuracy. The CW one runs at +/- < 2secs per d...

Re: Can’t decide.

It might be helpful if you give us some idea of why you can’t decide or what you would like advice on, otherwise all you will get are a load of personal preferences and the only one of those that really matters is yours!

June 2015. I'd been coveting the Tudor Black Bay with zero chance of getting one. I was aware of CW and this started the sickness. Still love it, can't imagine I will ever move it on.

Re: New Steinhart Ocean Two Black Friday deal

Soprod are a movement manufacturer in their own right. Steinhart have used their movements in other models in the past. I don't know much about them, but a quick Google reveals that after going around the block a bit they are now owned by Citizen, but remain a Swiss manufacturer.

Re: Advice on my second C.W. purchase

There's a NN black c60 on bracelet in clearance now  Thank you so much for the tip off - I have pulled the trigger on it! Can't wait :D Great news well done (and well done Gripper!) I'd been checking through the day, but missed it. (I'm not looking to buy I just like looking 'cos you never...

Re: Advice on my second C.W. purchase

I've never bought from the NN section so I'm sure someone will chime in who has, but my understanding is that you won't really spot much difference from new. I'd guess nothing more serious than you would get from a few days wear anyway. What you've observed is fairly normal, there is no rhyme or rea...

There’s a NN blue c65 trident diver on a bracelet for £556 in the clearance section. You’ll need to be quick!

Re: Advice on my second C.W. purchase

Also keep an eye on the clearance section over the coming days. They add them on a seemingly random basis and there are almost always C60's and C65's of some form or another in there for a few quid over your £500 ceiling. But you need to be quick...Good luck!

Re: Advice on my second C.W. purchase

If you like the motorsport look, there is a nearly new C7 Quartz in the clearance section for £276. I have the mechanical version and although they were not popular, I really like it. It may not be dressy enough for a wedding but if you put it on a black strap that would smarten it up. If you can st...

Re: Show room visit

I went in the summer and I got the voucher discount. They won't even want to see it or know a code. They must know the codes are widely available so they will pretty much offer it to anybody!

Enjoy the visit, it's a really nice experience, despite the inevitable cost!

Re: C9 AM GT

I had one, but only for six days before it went back for repair. No biggie, this is not a QC bashing comment - CW are sorting it. But originally I had an option of a replacement but as I had selected a special serial number I wanted to keep the same watch. However, I was in conversation this week an...

Re: C65 Pepsi GMT

Yep, I know that feeling my friend.

I rarely wear the same watch two days in a row, but when I get a new one I wear it solidly until the novelty wears off. Usually takes about 10-14 days.

The Pepsi went 5 weeks plus!

Re: FLE #8 Design Vote

I tend to agree with most of the calls for one more try. I don't think people misunderstood the 'vote for any you will buy' instruction but I do think some people probably didn't do that with a view to going for their favourites and a reduced number may focus that compromise a little. It'll be a cas...

Re: Holiday watch decisions

I'd do the UTC world timer. You're travelling so looks the part and is both smart and casual. Or the C9 AM GT LE casual on brown but with a black strap to swap out to smarten it up.
