Re: A CW Bespoke Limited Edition Project - ACW111

Our first vote is complete and we've gone for the SW330 movement, to keep the budget at around £1k. That means there will be quite a lot of things to change from the original design and plenty of scope to shape the design of the ACW111. If that piques your interest and you want to get involved, head...

Re: Red Bezel Tridents

I thought I read somewhere in the forum that the red dye was not available any longer?? Or something along that line. I don't see the picture above showing up so I'll post one for you too. Thanks Budman...that makes sense...Covid has caused so much Supply Chain disruptions...hopefully they continue...

Re: A CW Bespoke Limited Edition Project - ACW111

We've finalised a few options with CW this week and our first discussion and vote to decide on the movement and therefore the budget, is underway on the project forum. This is probably the single most important decision we will have to make so I thought I'd post this to let you know if you signed up...

Re: A CW Bespoke Limited Edition Project - ACW111

Thanks Steve. We’ve a way to go, but I’m hopeful. I’m delighted CW agreed to help us, it’s a perfect fit, but as always with these things. It’s all about the numbers. But I think we can do it!

Re: A CW Bespoke Limited Edition Project - ACW111

Excellent project  Just a correction... ' We based the design on the cockpit instruments of the Gloster Meteor, the first jet fighter to use the engine designed by Sir Frank '. That's not strictly speaking accurate... The Gloster Meteor was the first PRODUCTION jet fighter aircraft to use ...

Re: A CW Bespoke Limited Edition Project - ACW111

Power Reserve? Sub Seconds? Has to be an SH21 movement. Variation on a theme of the C8 PR? Been done with the M2.04 Concorde LE. Should be easy enough to adapt the dial design. Guy Sent from my Xperia 5 using Tapatalk That's one option Guy, although the sub seconds is a GMT on the original design, ...

Re: A CW Bespoke Limited Edition Project - ACW111

That is a great story, and a worthy historical reference. I have a few GMTs, and although I’m not a movement expert, I’ve not seen a GMT hand on a subdial before, and I’ve not seen a power reserve on a GMT. With the bonus of black DLC, that’s worth following. I’m going to sign up. Sadly that is one...

Re: A CW Bespoke Limited Edition Project - ACW111

Thanks for posting this, it’s a really exciting project and a great looking watch  I’ve joined the forum and registered as per instructions. I am especially interested as I graduated from RAFC Cranwell in 1988 and bizarrely enough my IOTC (Initial Officer Training Course) number was 111 :D...

Re: A CW Bespoke Limited Edition Project - ACW111

Not addled! The price is not set yet as we still have to revise the design. The original budget was around £1000. We will have to change the design to some extent as the original movement is not available (It was a SOPROD A10). We have some options with CW. One would keep it around the same price or...

A CW Bespoke Limited Edition Project - ACW111

I’ve got some news. I’m announcing the launch of a really exciting Christopher Ward Limited Edition bespoke watch project. Please allow me to explain. There is a bit of history, but stick with it and by the end, I hope you will want to be part of it. In winter 2014 a group of Watch U Seek forum memb...

Re: Loupe - New Releases and Promo Code

I've been waiting on the Super Compressor since Chris teased it at the Bristol GtG last November. I was hoping it would arrive in time for the Summer Big Birthday celebrations but as it didn't I was forced into the Al Deere...and a Bronze C60. It was to be my next watch but there maybe something els...

Re: Not a Fan of DHL

Here in UK none of the Delivery Drivers, or our Posties wear marks, as they rely on non contact delivery, generally placing the item on the door step and stepping back whilst you collect it. What are the guidelines / regulations in your State, as they vary? As to the Honda Civic. If I recall from p...

Re: My new C65 AM GT LE is here!

I did get a significant to me serial number though at the showroom this February for my 50th Birthday actually on a C65 SH21 LE, #070/150 as I was born in 1970. 1970 really was a good year! I had to get a bit more creative with mine. There was not much choice left but if you wrote my birthdate did/...

Re: My new C65 AM GT LE is here!

I'm with you. It was my 50th last month and I chose my serial number. First thing I did (well almost the first) was check the number and I would have returned it if it wasn't right. I hope it all gets sorted quickly...And Happy Birthday! (1970 was a good year ;-))
