that will lead some people to buy the Tribus Liverpool, and others to walk on by.
But never alone. :D

Re: CW January ‘21 Sale

How much longer will CW keep the sale page going? There is just the Al Deere left when I last looked. Will any returns be added back to the sale page? I’m wondering how much longer I should keep torturing myself with looking. :) Especially as I’m not in the market for the Deere. Keep looking for as...

Re: Al Deere Info please

In fact, why am I hesitating... I should really be a prime candidate for this watch... I'll sleep on it for a few days, after all there are still a few left  What are you waiting for?! With your connection to 54 Sqn you have to have this watch. Joking aside, you won't be disappointed, if you c...

The pricing of this watch is confusing.
I’ve seen it at full price £3k then in the sale @£1295 and now @£1498 in the clearance.
Anyone any ideas here?
I’m not 100% sure but I think the lowest price one was missing it’s COSC certificate.

Re: Al Deere Info please

Just looking at the new sale items, maybe the C8 power reserve gives a fair indication of an Al Deere price. It looks the same case. It's half price based on £1795 full price, and a pretty good spec really. Discounting the piece of Spitfire in the back, it's actually a better spec because it also h...

Bizarrely I had a watch delivered just before Christmas which came by RMSD, then I ordered a new strap over the Christmas period which came DPD

Re: C65 Super Compressor - Deep Blue

It's the fairly standard Sellita SW200-1 movement so the usual recommendation is around four years.

The handbook states "We recommend you service your watch at intervals of 3-4 years"

(Did you get the order in on time?)

Re: CW 2020 Forum Watch of the Year

It has to be the SC for me. Not only because I can see one wrapped and under the tree, but I just love the desire and passion to reverse engineer and build something that hasn't been made for decades for no practical reason, but just because. That pretty much sums up this hobby and I love it!

Re: Maybe no more CWs for me...

I've had similar situations with both an AD and another direct to customer watch manufacturer. One was for my 50th Birthday present, another a Christmas present. Both had short term deals and offers on the watch I was interested in and both of them had returns policies which were too short to stretc...

Great result and more in keeping with my experience of CW CS and, in truth, the result I would expect.

That’s awful news Frank. Is it worth a claim on your home contents insurance?

Re: C65 Super Compressor - Deep Blue

Both of your strap combo's look good Alex! I'm wishing that maybe I had've gone with the orange Tiber given the colour mismatch with the blue Tropic. cheers I'm thinking the same. I really liked the dark look of the Tropic but the real world shots make it look a bit light. I was torn between that a...

Re: C65 Super Compressor - Deep Blue

D@mn it. Spent the best part of a year waiting for the super compressor, when it arrived I wasn't sure about the colour and the text misalignment issue meant I convinced myself I didn't need it. Now this AND 15% off...

A small amount of roll-back is perfectly normal for a handwind. See this thread here

SH21 winding - Crown wind back

Firstly apologies if this has been asked and answered already. I'm sure I've read a similar question on here or one of the Facebook groups, but I can't find it. So at the risk of repetition, here goes: When winding my Al Deere I have noticed that as the wind is coming to the end, and you can feel th...
