Re: FLE #8 design submissions

I'm sure a while back and I mean back in the very original proposals with the now defunct C60 GMT, a logo colour, rather than location, change was given the ok.In the same way we can apply the twin flags. But I could have dreamt that and there are too many pages to go back through.

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

I'm not normally fan of green or gold (Bronze/brass) colour on a watch face but the green and bronze Dartmouth is really drawing my eye. It reminds me of the Seiko Alpinist which is the only green/gold watch I've ever considered. I would bite your hand off for this or or the cream dial.

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

How about a Dartmouth with a fixed bezel (from the 41mm Cranwell)? This thread poll suggest 70 people would be interested in a watch like this. Re: FLE #8 design submissions

Those Dartmouths properly got my attention! I’m still looking for something that I don’t have for my big birthday next year. On the list are white/light dial, bronze or an LE. If I could get all three in one that would be amazing! Good work to those on the Tridents, but none of them interest me at a...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

I'd like to see a Dartmouth mock-up in the same steel case but a black bezel with cream/silver markers & red pip, cream/silver dial with black minute-markers, gold hands & hours with white lume, and black seconds-hand with red tip. I'd just like a visualization of it so maybe it could be worked on?...

I’m still holding out for a Dartmouth/Splatford. I do like the blue sunburst a few posts back.
Me too - although I prefer to call it the Kingswear - close to Dartmouth but a different vibe.
What about the inevitable Watchy McWatch face?

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

I like that less than the solid dial, because you can see the less interesting side of the movement. That’s where I am. Seeing the ugly side of the movement and the full date wheel just doesn’t do it for me. I appreciate it’s different, but sometimes there is a reason why that’s the case. So if you...

Re: Advice please

As the "op" has found a non CW watch... can we put this thread to bed as it is p1551ng me and probably many others off. The longer this farce continues the worse it gets. Sent from my Redmi Note 6 Pro using Tapatalk Couldn't agree more. One of two things is happening here: 1. We are just further co...

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

If we have to stick with towns in Devon, my favourite has to be Splatford.

Re: FLE #8 design submissions

I'm not interested in a three handed Trident so I'm holding out for a Dartmouth based LE. Question for Kip: As the LE will not feature the Royal Navy emblem, which is right, it doesn't see right that it will still be called the Dartmouth. Is there any chance that we can come up with our own name? Th...

Re: FLE #8 - major changes

I think before we start throwing mock ups about a correct process needs to be put in else it’s just gonna end up how it did before. Voting on the model to base it upon I think needs to be the first step. I really want to see it happen but we need to give it the best chance. I agree 100%. Is it wort...

Re: FLE #8 - major changes

I'd definitely be interested in something based on the military range. I was planning on buying a Sandhurst but then got completely side-tracked and ordered the C9 AM GT LE on Friday, so that puts me back a bit. But will still be looking for something special for my 50th next year. (In truth the Dar...

Re: C9 AM GT LE #001/135

Ordered mine yesterday. Just changed jobs and my leaving present was a chunk of cash to spend on a watch. Was thinking of going for a Sandhurst but then something reminded me of this from the summer. As #1 had gone, I went for 079, the number of months in my job. Looks like I might be in for a wait,...

Re: FLE #8 - major changes

For me the loss of the ceramic bezel is quite a big deal, but the subsequent reduction in price might make squaring it with the FD a bit easier. Another plus is the flexibility with size as it might bring the numbers up. (My preference is 42mm but I would still go with 40mm) So I'll stick my hand up...
