As a follow on to my previous post... Hodinkee state that the service interval is also ten years.

Re: New Oris movement - 15/10

It looks to be an exciting development for Oris. The ten year warranty seems to be a new benchmark. I do wonder what the service intervals will be if they've replaced the bearings for the rotor with a slide bearing in a lubricated track. Muhle make a great watch. This has a strong design. I'm not sure I'd go for it but I can understand the appeal.

Re: New Topper x Oris Diver 1965 “Maxi” LE

It seems a little normal despite the fuss made of it on the Tenn and Two podcast. Not for me despite it being a sensible size.

Re: Its what we've all been waiting for . . . .. .

I agree that the design is squarely within the trend of the Mk 3 C60 Trident. I think it had to be. CW want this to be a big seller and the obeying all the forms of the current C60 is a good way to do that. It's conventional, modern design that wants to please. I rather like it and don't mind that i...

Re: C8 UTC Worldtimer - Another Review....

Good review of the C8 UTC. I love your Frankenwatch and I wish mine had the white dial too. It's the little details that please such as using Mexico not Chicago
Glad to see someone else taking the time to review their watches here. Great work.

Re: Is the Super Compressor technology technically relevant?

It occurs to me that CW have potentially set the WR on the C65 Super Compressor at 150m, despite in all likelihood of it being capable of a higher WR rating, to maintain the hierarchy within their ranges which are (approximately);- Dress; 50m - 100m Motorsport; 50m - 100m Aviator; 50m - 100m Milita...

Re: Its what we've all been waiting for . . . .. .

I rather like it. I'm not normally a fan of bicompax layouts but this does look very handsome. I'm not too worried about the size but I bet it's going to be heavy. Will it be heavier than my Seamaster Chrono at 229g though? I doubt it.

Re: What would you want the Dress Apex or Aviation Apex to look like?

They mean four separate watches. The first was based on the C7 case, the second was based on the C60 case and the third is supposed to be based on the C1 case. I don't think that anyone really knows what the fourth one will be based on anymore.
