Re: New field/military watch?

One more point... Watches using the insignia will be available in the October/November time frame. In the light of CW's past practices if this means they will announced earlier as a pre-release for delivery in October/November or if they will announced in October/November. Good things ahead for arme...

Re: New field/military watch?

CW UK Armed Forces press release Interesting press release. Thanks for posting it. I took a couple of points from it: Five watch makers are now allowed to use UK armed forces insignia (Breitiling, CW, Casio and Bremont - but who's the fifth?) CW are allowed to use insignia on watches priced between...

Re: New Omega releases, inc SS 50th anniversary Speedmaster

In this company I think I have to doubt my taste or personal aesthetic. I kind of liked the 50th anniversary moonwatch. However I'd rather buy a pukka moonwatch that says "Flight qualified by NASA" on the back. I am impressed that they have revised the movement again. The 3861 movement does sound li...

Re: The tale of a watch repaired under warranty

Sounds like the perfect experience. I wish all repairs could be handled this quickly. I assume that this is a watch in the UK to be repaired in the UK. International deliveries can add a lot of time to an otherwise quick repair.

Re: Bremont D-Type

Generally, I think Bremont are the type of brand that you don’t appreciate the quality on offer until you get one in your hand/on your wrist. There are many haters of the brand out there, but I’d like to bet most have never handled one. I certainly didn’t fully appreciate what they offer until I tr...

Re: Are import duties still an issue?

Some information in this thread... https://www.christopherwardforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=51290&hilit=us+duty In the US you do not have to pay import duty if the value is less than $800. Above $800 then duty is liable on the full amount. DHL charges a fee for handling all the paperwork. The amount...

Re: CW MSL C11

I used to own a C11 Ti Elite. The lume was somewhere between poor and bad. The lume on a Mk 2 C60 Trident was better.

Congratulations on your new Seamaster. Did you buy a Ref 212 (no waves) or a Ref 210 (new one with waves)? They're both lovely but I'm curious to know which one you thought worked best on a tan leather strap.
Neither.

Try 233.32.41.21.01.002
Lovely. The tan strap works a treat.

Re: New Summer Loupe Magazine?

The new host format aside, if you go to "Magazine" on the top right of the website it takes you to "Request a Copy" it then gives you the option of signing up and/or " browse the digital version". It is currently showing the newest edition of Loupe. Thanks Kip. I confess that I seldom browse the ou...

Re: New Summer Loupe Magazine?

Thanks for the links to Loupe 13. If I follow the normal path (CW website to CWorld to Loupe) I only see Loupe 12. Not sure what's gone wrong here. The page navigation and such are not as clear as Issu used to be. No doubt I'll figure it out. The first step is the link after all.
