Re: Baselworld News 2019

Favourites so far Seiko Spring Drive GMT (any) Seiko Spring drive diver Oris Aquis GMT (but this might be too big) Nothing else so far. I guess we'll have to see what Omega do but after last years' hit with the SeaMaster I don't see this as a big year for them either (Apollo anniversaries aside). T...

From the C70 Grand Prix Manual (2009-2011)

"Should you need a replacement part - don’t worry, we keep stocks of spare parts for years, even for
discontinued models."
The cynic in me says that this could be two years.

Re: Parts for back catalogue watches

Automakers in the US and EU were certainly required to have a ten year supply of parts for a vehicle once it finished production. Definitions of ten years vary and, as Kip said, if a part turns out to be in demand then a ten year supply can become a five year supply really quickly. A good example wo...

Re: Omega Moonwatch help please.

Should have added, I suggest going for the bracelet version, it's cheaper to buy a strap after purchase than it is to buy an Omega bracelet! Very good advice from Ian Mc. The moonwatch (either version) is normally available and stocks should be good. I'm not sure if this will change in the 50th ann...

Update:
I now have a sapphire sandwich version with perfect alignment, timed out at +3.4secs per day over a week at a very agreeable price.
Mr Mc is a happy chap!
Many congratulations. That's a great watch. Now we need photos...

The C65 bracelet has the same ratcheting micro-adjust system that the C60 and C7 bracelets use.
Thanks Gary.

Re: C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi

I could go with the black straps but the camel just doesn't work.

Does anyone know if the bracelet has a push button micro-adjust?

It is generally better to turn the hands clockwise to set the time.

Re: C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi

Best looking C65 GMT yet. The red GMT hand is much more appealing and the loss of numbers on the dial is always a winner with me. I might have to break the "no watches" before the C60 Mk III moratorium. I wish I was going to the showroom in the near future to see it in person. 60/60 is great but a s...

Re: Would you purchase new luxury micro brand or used luxury watch with heritage?

Sinn and Damasko offer watches in your price range, Malcolm. Both are mainly tool watch brands, and in the USA you can buy Damasko from either Long Island Watch (NY) or Watchmann (Michigan) online, both ADs. Sinn only sells through WatchBuys online in North Carolina. Not sure if that's the right le...
