Re: New C1 Moonglow in Celestial Blue

Why are all the watches I want to buy limited editions? (And sold out). This is the Moonglow I might have bought since it answers my one real criticism of the translucent plate so you always saw two moons. Yuck. If they made a non-limited edition with a navy blue dial I might spring for one. Oh well.

The grey dial is nicer, IMO.

Re: F1 2025 - Motorsport thread

Williams won't get a watch sponsor this year either. Who would you like to see as their watch sponsor? Thought Williams had a relationship with Bremont? https://www.bremont.com/collections/williams-collection Which was missing in 2024. Bremont's financial situation was perilous (and still is). Brem...

Re: F1 2025 - Motorsport thread

Max will be the fastest driver with the most borderline driving standards. Lando and Oscar could race each other and stop McLaren winning a driver's championship. Charles and Lewis? Gawd knows. Albon and Sainz - fascinating but results probably won't refelct driving standards. Williams won't get a w...

Re: What’s ahead in 2025?

I am hoping that this will be a year where I don't buy many, if any new watches. 2024 was a big watch buying year and I don't want 2025 to be the same. Please wish me luck. I'll probably sell my Bel Canto Azzuro Blue and maybe use the funds to buy a Lumiere Grey dial. CWs designs have gone away from...

Re: Those were the days…

I still have my white dial C9 Moonphase and a C60 Trident 600 with SH21 but the C11 and C1000 went away a long time ago. As for the rest, well my CW sweetspot may well have been 2015 - 2022/2023.

Re: The Magnificent tractor - C60 Concept review

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I am curious to hear how the C60 Concept compares with the newly released 12 X...🤔 Once I get my 12X I'll see what I can do. Any chance of an update? Hoping you got the watch and are wearing it in good health! :D The 12X budget went elsewhere I'm afraid....

Re: CW 2024 Forum Watch of the Year

This was a harder choice than some previous years. No launch really stood out this year and there was no "Bel Canto Effect" this year. In the end I chose the Lumiere because it recognises that that there are some old school customers out there who like a larger, more masculine watch and be...

Re: The ONE 1 shouldn't have sold.

There are watches that I regret buying and watches that I regret not buying but I can't think of a single watch I've sold that I regret selling. I now use a simple test to see if I should sell a watch. I put that watch aside for a year. If I don't miss it or don't decide to wear it within that perio...

Re: What should a fully charged SH21 look like?

There is a tolerance around the 120 hour claim. You should get at least 118 hours and up to 122 hours though. This is based on my experience with the three SH21s I own. I don't know what the official tolerances are though. I normally give them 2 - 3 days worth of power reserve using a manual wind an...

Re: US SH21 service experience (so far it's been good)

My watch was returned by DHL today. CW had informed me that the watch was being despatched from the UK late last week. Watch was returned in original CW watch pod which was wrapped in bubble wrap in a padded envelope. The service seems to have done the trick as it is now much smoother and easier to ...

Happily an Omega I don't like. Anybody got any spare change to help a poor man buy a Speedmaster Rising Sun?
