Re: CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??

Andrew Morgan and his one-off Bel Canto. Although CW don't know what wavelength they're working with this is actually closer to 600nm and yes, I can still perceive it.

Re: Watch Tracker App

I have more watches than is good for me. I wear them in loose rotation for a few days then move on to the next one. I don't claim to be a "data nerd" but definitely fit in the nerd category and so I keep a spreadsheet with the watches and track their use on that. It let's me see if I'm not...

He used to be "the man with the hands" from the Watchfinder YT channel. He now has his own YT channel and marketing consultancy business centred around watch brands.

Re: CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??

My inner nerd is fully caffeinated and paying attention this morning. 600nm is definitely orange.

Re: CW and Andrew Morgan Collab??

I've seen Andrew's red BC. It is very nice, a lovely deep red colour. I do wonder what they mean by "discernible" though. A bit of googling says that the human eye can see down to 750nm (some say 700; meh). Whatever, 700 is longer than 600... If I can find my picture of Andrew's red BC I w...

Re: I got the call!

Omega switched to a policy of limited production for some watches about five years ago. The most obvious examples of this have been the Speedmaster 321/Ed White and the Snoopy. You could add the Suoer Racing to that list as well but I suspect that the Super Racing's rarity is due to manufacturing is...

Re: I got the call!

Congratulations on the snoopy and the white dial speedie. It's worth the wait for the specials. I think that Omega have said that they are not taking any more new orders for the snoopy as the waiting list is very long. I've been offered one a couple of times by my OB but I've always been on the wait...

Re: Customer Service - Sending A Watch For Estimate

I had a C11 with green hands. The lume was very poor. I had mine from new. As others have said the lume from CWs of 10 years ago was pretty poor. I doubt your lume is faulty, it sucked from new. Ten years might not have helped much but don't be surprised if a new dial/hand set still doesn't have goo...

Re: More quartz watches to come?

There are some folks on here who own Citizen "The Citizen" Chronomasters that might disagree with you about nice watches not being quartz :D :D :D  I'm one of them. A fantastic watch with an extremely accurate solar quartz movement (+/- 5s/yr). I really love the watch. The finish is...

Re: Erebus GADA watch launched

Thanks for posting @5oclockhero. They look excellent value and interesting. Does anyone have envy experience on the build quality, reliability and service from Erebus? I have an Erebus Origin. The quality is very good. The bracelet is excellent, the case finishing, dial and hands are well executed....

Re: Erebus GADA watch launched

When I first saw the Erebus Ascent I thought it looked like a Sealander. Then I looked at a Sealander and realised that any resemblance is superficial. It's actually closer to the design of a Citizen "The Citizen" Chronomaster. The indices and frame around the date (even thought the date ...

Re: More quartz watches to come?

Actually one of the issues with quartz is not the movement, it's the fact that the nice watches are generally not quartz. Grand Seiko and a few other exceptions aside (some Omegas, etc) quartz is overlooked by most except on the cheap end. I'd personally buy more quartz watches if the actual watche...

Re: More quartz watches to come?

A thinner chronograph would most likely require a different movement. CW want to keep their "Swiss Made" status and so they can't look too far for new movements. It has to be Swiss. They also have a strong relationship with Selitta who are their partner for most of the CW movements (SH21 a...

Re: What Are They Thinking?

These will have pride of place in every jeweller's window in the land. I like the white dial/blue bezel one but 35mm and $1,500 make this a tough sell.
