Re: Edinburgh GTG - Chat with Chris - Saturday 19th January 2019

I knew I was going to like the GMT. Now I have to save for that and (maybe) the C60 Apex. C65 Diver GMT will be out in the Spring. C60 Apex not until much nearer the end of the year. Plenty of time to cover off for both. Guy Sent from my Xperia XZ Premium using Tapatalk You're a bad man Guy....

Re: Edinburgh GTG - Chat with Chris - Saturday 19th January 2019

I watched the stream live too. Many thanks to all at CW for making this a successful "chat" for those of us in foreign climes. The "Ladies behind the camera" were as much a part of the show as the Chris, Mike and Pete. If there is a "chat" at the rest of the UK GTGs I hope they continue to be a part...

Re: 40mm Trident. Could it be true?

The official CW policy for the forum is that employees/founders do not reply to topics in the forum. Chris has an Instagram feed. I don't know what the policy about CW employees posting on the FB group is. Has there been another instance of Chris Ward posting on the FB group? If not then I think the...

As I am blissfully and intentionally ignorant of Facebook I'm happy to read that I can watch the live stream. Thanks to StrappedUp and Nordwulf/Frank.

@TigerChris, @Ttf23, @Essex Paul, @Viognier - you comments viz a viz Facebook vs. YouTube are noted and representations have been made to CW. Guy Another forumite with without a Facebook account and no intention of getting one either. Youtube I use on a regular basis. Even if we can't have the live...

Re: A Trio of Rapides

Great little collection there. I’m with you as a fan of the Rapide - just can’t understand why they haven’t sold like hot cakes. In my case (pardon the pun) I loved the case but hated the dials. I'm not a fan of those big arabic numbers at all. I guess the numbers fit the motorsport theme but there...

Re: Seiko Save The Ocean PVD

The one that comes up most often is Seiya
https://www.seiyajapan.com/
I haven't used them myself yet but they are the JDM seller which is most often recommended for shipping to the US. There may be others.

Re: Introducing the anOrdain Model 1

I'm not a great fan of the watch but I am amazed at their tenacity and determination to make the enamel dials work. So kudos to them for the dial but I don't think it's a watch for me.

Re: FIRST LOOK: ORIS PRODIVER DIVE CONTROL LIMITED EDITION

It's huge and expensive. I'm not sure I'd want to spend $5k USD on this and as it's 51mm it won't be seen on my wrist anytime soon. I really liked the look though.

I quite like the last one SSC701 but not sure if I prefer it over my Speedmaster. Might be a good beater chrono though.

Re: Questions - Chat with Chris - Edinburgh GTG - January 2019

Could indeed be expensive if based upon the SH21. Alpina seems to have modified a Selitta though.

The price is stated to be $1350 - Not bargain basement I'll concede but not out of reach.

Re: Questions - Chat with Chris - Edinburgh GTG - January 2019

Any plans to offer a GMT with a local adjusting hour hand in the manner of Tudor, Rolex or now Alpina?

Re: Questions - Chat with Chris - Edinburgh GTG - January 2019

+1 for questions around why the C7 line was unpopular - Is there a future for this sort of motorsport watch? Will the case design re-appear without links to motorsport?
