Replacement Instructions / C of A

Recently acquired a CW that was purchased in 2018. At the time CW were out of instruction booklets, so just sent the usual letter stating that the booklet would follow. It would appear that in this case, the booklet never did appear, so now I'm keen to see if I can reunite watch with instructions or...

Re: Nearly New watches onsite 2

Just pulled the trigger on the c65 black diver, plus discount code for the bracelet. had one in blue, but the blue dial and vintage digits just didn't do it for me though i loved the size and feel of the watch. hoping i'll prefer the black. it is fathers day soon at least. they've made me work hard ...

Re: Scratched Sapphire Crystal

thanks all - i don't think i could really get a decent photo of it as it's so small, it just catches the light occasionally to let me know its there.

magrette told me a replacement crystal would be $60, so may have a gentle DIY go, knowing that the consequences shouldn't be too bad.

Scratched Sapphire Crystal

Just picked up a watch that I had been after for a while only to find it has a small scratch on the crystal (specified as sapphire). It is a v small nick and not a big gouge so wasn't sure if this is an easy fix. DIY able or not? And does anyone have any tips as to what to use? I tend to do the odd ...

Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?

on the train home chap next to me had a Big Day Date. Think he spotted me looking at it and then saw I had a trident. An awkward acknowledgement and a knowing tap on the wrist.

Re: Three new watches on the website

If the Chrono had a ceramic bezel i would be right there, but less keen on the standard bezel.

Re: Quality v. Steinhart

I do enjoy a Steinhart and find they just sit well on my wrist, but having come into work with a Steinhart Ocean One, and just having opened a new Trident and holding both side by side, the better quality of the CW is very evident.

Re: Repairing case scratches

i have successfully buffed out scratches like that with a dremmel buffer and some jewellers rouge. depends on the depth of course and taking a bit of care, but within the realms of DIY.

I don't think Cape Cod would do much with that one.

Minute Hand Lagging the Hour Hand?

Noticed that on my BDD, when the minute hand reaches the 12 o' clock baton, the hour hand is already noticeably past its baton.

Has anyone else experienced similar and is there an easy fix other than to return to CW?
