Re: Advice please

Good evening Jules, welcome. I can understand your dilemma not seeing the watch in the flesh, but as someone on here I believe has stated you do have 60 days for a full refund if your husband didn't like your choice. I own a number of watches & have owned more than I care to remember over the years ...

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

A forum is only as good as its members & there are some very interesting & knowledgeable members on here. I like reading about positive & negative issues people have with their watches as it increases my knowledge as well. Obviously the bigger CW get the more negative issues people will have, but th...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

Would it not be difficult to carry out a pressure test on a watch full of water? Surely they wouldn’t have dried it out and resealed it prior to testing. If I had been the OP I would certainly have liked tohave seen the pressure test carried out for my own peace of mind. This was a point I was maki...

Re: My C65 Trident GMT isn't waterproof!

My take on this is, it will be very hard to prove the OP has done anything wrong, which I am sure he hasn't, so surely the quickest & cheapest option is to exchange the watch? Would it really be worth CW stripping & replacing numerous parts, face hands etc, I don't think so. I think you have done th...

I personally would order a new one now, then when it arrives send the imperfect one back, at least you know its not the same one.

Re: Mystery of website watches all showing same times?

I was told a number of years ago by a watchmaker, that the likes of Rolex , Omega etc use fake non working movements for pictures so that the hands can be set to wherever they want.

Re: How did you first hear about Christopher Ward

First off welcome to the forum. A number of years ago I was looking for what I call a gardening watch ( a watch that looks good, is robust & can take a bit of water) & I came across CW in a magazine advert. I liked what I saw bought one, then I added another, sold them & bought another couple, repea...

Re: Servicing

Amazon sell the batteries recommended for most Quartz watches for less than £5, a good quality tool to remove the caseback & change them yourself.
It is really easy, I have done plenty & never had a problem, I even purchased a number of replacement seals in different sizes.

Re: Abysmal Service from Christopher Ward

Hi All, Before you buy another watch or send your watch in for a "service", think twice! I'm not going into details, but their so-called Service Department is a joke! I've posted this on here in the hope that somebody from CW will read it, unlike the emails I send to them, and actually do something...

Re: Does CW sell returned watches?

Welcome to the forum.
I would be very surprised if they tried to sell you a returned faulty watch as new, I think you may be feeling a little bit paranoid, maybe because of a few recent issues people have had. :-)
