Re: CW c65 Automatic vs. Oris Sixty-Five (Movember)

I am sure I will be in the minority here, but I actually prefer the Oris. I think the minute markers on the bezel look good, I like the lume dot on the second hand, the date looks good at 6 o clock & it has the logo where it should be. I am sure whichever one you choose you will be very happy., good...

Re: Advice for someone with a 6.5 inch / 165 mm wrist

I think the C65 Trident would be fine for you, you can always buy it & assess it as you have a 60 day return policy. Here is a pic with my 42mm Tudor GMT on my 6.5" wrist (I know this is a CW forum, but my Trident is away for repair at the mo). Good luck with whatever you decide. https://i.imgur.com...

Re: Diver shortlist and some convincing needed

Hi Dave, I have a number of Dive watches as they are my type of watch & they range from Seiko to Rolex, but I can assure you that the Trident is a solid well made watch that I would actually put on par with my Tag Aquaracer 500m which cost quite a bit more. The fact that you get 60 days to assess it...

Re: Disappointed with Christopher Ward

I agree if you have wilfully damaged it, but a scratch would not really make it lose 5 mins so in that case it is not fit for purpose. We need a fully qualified solicitor to clarify this one.    :problem: Obviously! A scratch won’t make it lose 5mins and the time loss does rend...

Re: Disappointed with Christopher Ward

I was always under the impression that if the fault was within a certain time you could demand a replacement or refund as it was classed as not fit for purpose. Following on from my previous post I have just spoken to my son who is at University training to be a Lawyer & he directed me towards the ...

Re: Disappointed with Christopher Ward

Agreed. The watch is not fit for purpose. The did you, didn’t you wear, or scratch it is irrelevant. Neil But surely, if it transpires that the watch has a fault with the mechanism but is worn and subsequently scratched, all CW are obliged to do is offer a repair? I would agree that a replacement o...

Re: Disappointed with Christopher Ward

Just as an aside, why do peeps sell off watches they previously liked just because they have a spat with the maker? Surely that’s cutting off your snout to spite yer fizzog? ...is it meant to “teach ‘em a lesson?” I have always wondered this myself, you are just denying yourself the enjoyment of th...

Re: Disappointed with Christopher Ward

I am afraid my answer would be if it is losing 5 mins a day & it is new you should be offered a refund or replacement watch, forget the fact that you have worn it for 4 hours, that is a different point, the fact is It is not fit for purpose out of the box! I am normally a big supporter of CW custome...

Re: C65 GMT vs Automatic Bezel

Welcome, I have owned quite a number of Aluminium bezelled watches & they are really quite hard to scratch.
I would go with the one you prefer & remember a bezel insert can always be changed if you do damage it.

Re: Watches - best on the wrist?

I set my Sub last Saturday before I went away for a nice break to the Wye Valley, I have worn it 24/7 for the last week & it is running at +2 secs in 8 days.
I totally agree they definitely run better on the wrist.

Re: C65 Trident GMT - Pepsi

Just ordered mine on Saturday. They don't ship until the end of March but I have no doubt it'll be worth the wait as was my Trident Pro I purchased several years ago. I had been looking HARD at the Tudor Black Bay GMT but at $3,900 USD I just couldn't make the jump. Then I see this new GMT on Chris...

Re: Dreaded spinning rotor

Noticed it on a couple of my watches. My Trident GMT is the worst offender. If I move the watch so that I'm directly looking at the face at eye level then I don't get the rotor spinning. I do this recently and it works fine. I'll get it sorted when it goes for a service. Why do I feel I have the sa...

Re: Dreaded spinning rotor

Had an update from CW today, my Trident Pro will be repaired under warranty & will be with them for 5-6 weeks.
The repair will be done in Maidenhead & not sent back to Switzerland I was told.
I wait in anticipation.

I think it looks great, but like Thegreyman I have recently purchased the Tudor Pepsi GMT.
