Re: Paratrooper Straps

I think they look really good. My only issue is the word "paratrooper", as an ex-marine I'm not allowed to like anything to do with that word! Gary.

Re: Coronavirus Weekly Check-In Thread - March 29

Slightly different situation (work-wise) for me. I work at the petro-chemical site at Grangemouth where we produce all sorts of products from petrol to diesel to air fuel to ethanol (which we're currently making into a very decent hand sanitizer for the NHS for free of course) We've changed to a tem...

Richard, good to see a fellow Jambo back on his feet, let's hope our team makes a similar type recovery or we're going down again.

Re: Introducing the C65 Military Range - Dartmouth / Sandhurst / Cranwell

Hi Folks, A while since I last posted/been to the forum....... I am a CW fan, I really like the C65 range, but, being a former/retired Royal Marine (Real Marine for those that know) I was disappointed there was not a watch for "Royal". I have contacted CW and have been advised that if I could get a...

Very nice dial colour (especially with my support of Hearts). Only £152 from Creation, fantastic value.

Re: Oris Sixty-five Diver LE Honey X Revolution

Nice one Gary (as the Aussies would shout to Nathan Lyon!) Lovely dial colour, though I still prefer the 65 model with the retro numbers at 3/6/9/12. Beach is looking rather tempting, hope you're enjoying the Ashes as much as me! Hopefully see you when I'm across in '21 for the next Ashes tour. Gary.

Re: CW spin on the Patek tagline

Something to do with Don Quixote? (from memory). Absolutely right. Quite possibly the greatest literary achievement of the Second Millennium, if not of all time. And it’s all about keeping a sense of perspective and seeing things for what they really are. Not only do CW make some fine watches but t...

Re: Decisions, decisions.

The Black Bay and the Speedmaster are both very legible watches in my experience. Considering the Speedmaster is a chronograph it is remarkably easy to see the time - probably the best chrono in this respect. Agree with comments about the Speedmaster. For PC work and reading I normally wear glasses...

Decisions, decisions.

After many years of buying/selling/flipping some reasonably priced watches, next April I will be in the very fortunate position of being able to purchase a few of my "grail" watches. Currently these include a black bay red, a speedmaster and the red dialled version of the newly released Oris Big Cro...

Welsh you say :? Never been insulted so much in my life  Born in God's own city of Edinburgh I'll have you know. I get what you say regarding luck, it's a very fickle Lady. I realise heritage players are here to stay, it doesn't seem right to me. Gary.

Re: Congratulations England

Feel for NZ they are a great bunch of blokes but thrilled for England, well deserved and a fantastic match to watch. Well deserved? :problem: Four deflected runs off Stoke's bat made the difference, then England won on the basis they scored more boundaries! Nobody deserved to win or lose that match....

Re: New field/military watch?

Mike responded to my email immediately and said they will be producing a Royal Marines version in the future. IMHO, this will be a good seller for former and serving Royal Marines. Count me in as a definite buyer of any CW watch with a RM connection. Good work mvlow, also loving the fact that you (l...
