Thanks, Guy. Those actually look rather good.
I've had a couple of milanese bracelets before so may go that way again.

Great, thanks; must have missed those, but they are pretty spendy!
Nearly as much as the watches make s/h.
Anyway, many thanks for the alert, and if anyone knows any more, preferably below £150, please let me know.

Titanium PVD strap for C600 Tritech Elite, anyone?
Can anyone please alert me if they know of a manufacturer of good-quality 22mm black PVD titanium bracelets that would fit and suit my C600 Tritech Elite C600IPB? I've got it on a really nice Strapcode PVD solid Engineer in stainless steel at the moment, but it's so bloomin' 'eavy... I'd be happy wi...

Re: Servicing a Submariner?
Another reason for variability in timekeeping and hand movement may be that the oils have dried out, so there's some initial stiction that eases off after a few days. The problem with that is that as it is running now you'll be getting a lot of wear on the bearings and cogs, so when it does need a s...

Re: Another old Rolex
Cool! That works really well, and a red sub would accent the stitching: you'll just have to get one! I wear my 1967 metres-first 5513 on a tan, perforated Heuerville racing strap with 'natural' stitching that perfectly matches the buff lume (well, it does in my humble opinion, anyway  ). Let's ...

Re: Another old Rolex
I missed this before. Lovely.
Personally I'd wear this on a dark, rich brown db10 leather strap with a touch of red stitching (but I'm funny like that, and I suspect some Rolexophiles would want me to wash my mouth out with washing up liquid for daring to suggest It ).

Re: Vulcan XM655 group visit NOV 14 confirmed
The Boar's Head at Hampton Lucy would probably fit the bill. We had lunch there a few weeks ago while on a walk.
Unfortunately I can't make this visit (although I may well be able to go on the Salon QP meetup in London on the same day). Have fun!

Thanks folks.
I wonder how many years it'll be before the Apple Watch qualifies as 'old technology'!

Re: Vintage watch of the day (30 years+)
A few weeks ago we had a 48h competition in our camera club where we had to take, process and submit one image on each of 5 subjects. One of the topics was 'Old technology' and I submitted this of my 1973ish Heuer non-Viceroy Autavia 11630 on a db10 strap and a copy of 'Stuff' - https://farm1.static...
