Re: stiff bezel after swimming in sea on c60

Just back from time in Fiji. My C61 bezel--if anything--is smoother than it was pre-snorkeling. I rinsed diligently, but it almost seems like it was happier after being in the water.

Re: Preview Sale now live

Sigh. I've been out of town and missed all of this and then and then. C70 NN on its way.

Oh, I do wish we got the GTDs in the states. The TDI we get has great torque, but not much follow-through.

Re: The Mowbray Collection

I can't possibly chase more leather; what with my Saddleback obsession. Between watches and leather, it's a wonder I have any money.

Re: CW Changed perception

Of my three "nice" watches--Tag, Stowa, and CW, the Tag does seem a little more "there." It's not a high end Tag either. (I know, there are lots of Tag haters out there). The C61 is as nice as I hoped it would be and gives the Stowa a run for the bang for the buck money. So hard ...

Did I mention I'd like a green one?

I'd vote C61. My wrist is 7.75 and I like the look. Just right.

If only cars were like watches and I could have lots.

Re: C60/C61 Size Question

Thanks for the feedback. I don't doubt that the C60 would fit well, but I'm wondering if the C61 is closer in size to the Hamilton. Really, I'm just trying to avoid a big watch. Everyone else is still welcome to chime in. If you want to be sure go for the C61 as the C60 is, by traditioinal standard...

Re: 2015 CW Moonphase

I love my Bathy's moonphase. It's such an unneeded complication that I find it super appealing. My only concern with an automatic (I'm assuming that's what it will be) is that I don't have a winder. That's one of the main reasons I went with Bathy's. It may not be high end, but the quartz is always ...

Re: Nearly New STOWA

I have a partitio on order and may get an Ikarus after that. Great watches and great value for money. I'm with you on the Ikarus. I'd like to see one in person (a very unlikely occurrence, admittedly) to get a sense of how grey the face is. Really high quality watches. I'm wearing my Laco flieger t...

Re: Nearly New STOWA

Stowa has one outside retail outlet: http://www.manufactum.de/home.html Their website shows the Partitio in stock with a delivery time of 2-3 days. That's good news for our EU friends, but those of us on the left side of the Atlantic have to order the Partitio directly from Stowa. Probably not a bi...

Re: Stowa Flieger

Just had a look at your watch on their site. Love the look. It amazes me of the vast number of watch manufacturers that I have never heard of since I joined this forum. Think I will be looking at Stowa more closely  Do look at them. It's hard to beat their watches for quality and finish. T...

Re: Value of Forum to CW

I think I collected 6 in one visit once.  Was a few years ago now. Wow, now that's a single purchase. I'd be a dead person if I didn't buy watches in drives and drabs. Even still, there's always the... Is that a new watch look? I'm trying to sort out to get a CW in the house. A blue ...
