Re: Christopher Ward becomes Everton's Official Global Timing Partner

I think that many are confusing being a "fan" or "personal supporter" of Everton, or any sports affiliation for that matter, with a sports partnership agreement. There are many different arrangements that can be made with sports clubs. As an American, you might not be aware that...

Re: Christopher Ward becomes Everton's Official Global Timing Partner

Stupid move imo.
I don't want to support Everton financially or by connection.

The timing is a bit off too, considering the club's issues with Russian money. Everton is a bit of a tainted brand at the moment both on and off the pitch.

Re: FLE #8 Design Vote

I haven't voted as I wouldn't buy any of the options so I didn't want to ambush the result but have been reading the discussion with interest as an "outsider". All the C60s are "out" for me as I consider the name logo to be in the wrong place. CW won't move the location on the C...

Re: Rolex: OP39 v Explorer1

For some strange reason, the Explorer 1 never appealed to me, until I read this thread. In fact, this is only the 3rd Rolex I've ever thought about owning, but the other two I can't justify the cost (two tone blue sub and white gold GMTII). The E1 seems to cover many bases. It's smart enough to be a...

Re: What would you tell yourself?

Should have bought the two tone sub I wanted in 2003. In hindsight I could afford it (before kids), but at the time it seemed a lot if money at the time. Back then they were still sensible money, not 5 figures like they are now. Now, with 4 kids I can't justify one. Soon be buying cars for the kids...

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

This forum is not the complaint department, nor customer service. The CW website has the contact information for CS as well as others. That is where people should be reaching out to for resolutions. They are free to comment on the process here as well as resolutions, but we cannot solve issues that...

Re: Why Keep This Forum Going?

The forum is still valuable to CW, because it shows they are a 'real' company, not just a fancy website. I bought my first CW after reading the forum, which gave me the confidence to buy. The company does seem to have a disdainful attitude toward the forum. They appear to read it occasionaly, but wi...

Maybe, just maybe the “Dartmouth dial configuration” was the most popular for a reason... :silent:
Yep, I'd go for Dartmouth for that reason.
First new CW I've considered buying for a long time.

Re: How much should you spend on a watch?

Are you talking about a single watch, or annual spend? Either way, it depends on your circumstances. If you are single then you can spend as much as you like without starving or living on the street. If you have a wife and 4 kids, a relatively low percentage of your salary would be reasonable. Howev...

Love this, including (and especially) the logo position.

Re: Would you buy one of these as the next Forum Limited Edition?

Are there any other rewards associated with a purchase?
Like collection at a lunch in Maidenhead?
How about the letter will be signed by all three founders?
I like the look of it, but need something special to tip it over dropping a grand on one.

Ironically, the only real damage on it is on the clasp from being worn at my desk!!!!
Just noticed the wear on my SMP clasp.
I wonder how much Omega charge for a new little gold Ω?
Still, it's 20 years old!

That's a good shout.
Special on two counts. Probably bump the price even more though.
