Re: Don't Mention The War........

Live langoustines used as a weapon?

I can see that being the next craze with teenage hoodies.
As stop and search ramps up, they will resort to carrying shell fish. It's my dinner officer. Here I also have the lemon butter sauce. Can't get nicked.

Re: Don't Mention The War........

In the interest of fairness to the moderators, I decided to find out if kitchen knives are purely weapons or can actually have a peaceful purpose. Of course I know we have regular table knives at home to eat with. They are always laid out on the table when I sit down to dinner. If there is no smalle...

I don’t know if I’m just moaning or it’s true feelings but has it changed too much from a mk1?
No more so than, for example, an early SMP to the new one.

Re: C60 Trident Mk3 - pictures..!

For those not on Facebook, some muppet Instagram 'Influencer' with a Mk3 broke the embargo and posted pictures. These were shared on FB, although the pictures have since been deleted from both sites. I know this doesn't really help, but it might make you feel worse to know that there are a whole bun...

I hope those pictures were deliberately picked because of the wacky outfits.
I'm sure the other 95% of attendees were dressed normally.

Re: If you want to buy a Rolex

According to this article : Units per year 2017: Tissot 3m Longines 2m Rolex 770k Omega 730k Cartier 470k This Hodinkee article says that in 2016 Casio sold 8.5m G shocks (doesn't give a total including other lines). Watch sales for Seiko, Citizen and Casio are each between 130b and 170b Yenn. So, b...

Re: If you want to buy a Rolex

^^^ Indeed. Rolex makes a lot of money, but in terms of units they are a minnow with about 1 million per year. Just one Casio model, the F91W, sells more units per year than all Rolex output. Total global watch production is estimated to be over a billion units per year, so only one in a thousand wa...

Re: Smart Watch

I use a Garmin 235 for running, but wouldn't be seen dead wearing it otherwise. I'm not really interested in activity and heart rate tracking when I'm not exercising anyway. Needs an upgrade because I'm training for an ultra, but the 235 doesn't have the mode for long durations so the battery will n...

Re: Farmer Quartz Chrono

10 and 6 are badly cropped. It's enough to plant a seed of doubt in my mind.

The look is a bit corny.
It might be a grower though.

Not sure I'd plough that much cash into one.

Might find out if they have any good serial numbers left.

I've heard a lot of good things about the brand.

If you are near a hospital, pop into the MRI department and ask them to stick it in for a few minutes on high.
