nbg wrote: Wed Feb 21, 2024 8:42 am ^^^ @missF and now for something completely different; not suitable for the arctic, but an option if I wanted to wear a nice watch on a strap to a restaurant. :)
This watch has truly global applications

Re: Chris375 - CWSOTC

Lovely :D
It's great to see CW collections that span a lot of years, because there's such great variety. I think I'm prone to a bit of nostalgia, but there's plenty from the back catalogue that still pull their weight alongside the Moonglow and the Bel Canto

Re: Watches with a full set of Arabic numerals

When my friend's daughter was learning to read the time at school I showed her my watch but she said it wasn't a 'proper' watch because proper watches had numbers, and you can't tell the time without numbers... I've been looking several times at the sandhurst recently in order to 'get more numbers',...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Daily beater IMG_4301.jpeg Now that's beating around w/ some class!!.. Maybe redefining 'beater' a bit, but for me it's more than suitable tough-wise for anything my life would do to it. I'd wear it anywhere and if it got a bit scratched up and battered I wouldn't be in the slightest bit ...

Re: CW Regrets

C5 Malvern Mkiii I sold it at a point where I really needed to have fewer watches in the box for my own piece of mind. But it's a lovely watch - for my style it was the smartest watch I owned but definitely one to be worn and enjoyed as a daily wearer. Beautiful dial colour / sheen. Blued hands. Fit...

C9, C8,C1 all very very lovely watches!
I keep wailing about the fact that the C8 series are 'too big for me' but I've never actually owned one! :-k

Re: Small Seconds

Somehow I just like the asymmetry of a 9o'clock small seconds dial stuck out there unbalanced on its own :D It’s not as asymmetrical as you think. It’s a Lépine configuration. On a traditional stopwatch the button is at 12 and the seconds dial directly opposite it at 6. All you have done really is ...
